Ahead of the US tour that begins on September 4 in Orlando, Florida, BABYMETAL has dropped a new live music video for the English version of Elevator Girl.

The trio in Elevator Girl are energetic as ever and their choreography is strong, fierce and precise like a python darting for prey. Raised on an illuminated platform, their dazzling costumes have been designed to work with the dance so incredibly well.

Bring Me the Horizon have just been announced as the support for part of Babymetal's upcoming Metal Galaxy world tour.

The first leg of the joint tour kicks off in Japan, consisting of two shows in Saitama and two in Osaka.

Earlier this summer, Babymetal's Moametal professed the group's desire to collaborate with Bring Me the Horizon in the future. Shortly after, they announced their forthcoming album Metal Galaxy, which features special guests like members of Arch Enemy, Sabaton and more.

Bring Me the Horizon's amo came out at the beginning of the year, which consisted of several collaborations of their own. With this tour announcement, it'll be interesting to see if any further projects from the two groups come about.

Heavy metal is often associated with primal roars, dark themes, and apocalyptic instrumentation, but the polished Japanese idol band BABYMETAL keeps only the latter trait and dispenses with the rest, combining a thrashing musical backdrop with bubbly J-pop that could be lifted from a video game.

The jarring, if not altogether surreal, contrast—complete with theatrical girly-goth aesthetics and fully choreographed performances—has thrust the group into the international spotlight and continues to convert metal traditionalists and newcomers alike.

It’s a phenomenon that feels like it could exist only in the digital era, when notions of genre are a suggestion at best, and the element of surprise continues to pay. In advance of its forthcoming album, “Metal Galaxy,” BABYMETAL performs at Terminal 5, on Sept. 15. It may just be the cutest music you’ve ever headbanged to.

BABYMETAL's fall 2019 U.S. headlining tour kicked off on September 4 in Orlando, Florida, and will run through October 16 in Seattle, Washington. The trek includes the previously announced October 11 gig at The Forum in Los Angeles, which will mark BABYMETAL's first headlining arena show in the States. Support on the BABYMETAL tour through the October 4 show in San Francisco will come from the Swedish metal band AVATAR.

BABYMETAL's third album, "Metal Galaxy", will be released on October 11 via earMUSIC/Edel. The follow-up to 2016's "Metal Resistance" is based on the concept of "The Odyssey Of Metal Galaxy".

"Metal Galaxy" contains 14 songs, including include the four singles that have been released over the course of the last few months: "Pa Pa Ya!!", "Starlight", "Distortion" and "Elevator Girl". The album expresses light and darkness, emotions like duality and ambivalence, and "new metal" created by various chemical reactions as other entities evolved and expanded in this album.

Just like the sun and the moon changes the appearance of this world with its daylight and moonlight, with evermore new type of various sound, BABYMETAL's music paints the metal galaxy in different colors.

The album includes five songs that feature guest appearances from worldwide musicians who were perfect to the character of each song.

Guitarist Tak Matsumoto from B'Z is featured on "Da Da Dance". Vocalist Joakim Brodén from SABATON is featured on "Oh! Majinai". Guitarist Tim Henson and Scott LePage from POLYPHIA are featured on "Brand New Day". Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz from ARCH ENEMY is featured on "Distortion". Rapper F.Hero is featured in "Pa Pa Ya!!" The guest musicians add more colors to the odyssey of the metal galaxy.
