Piers Morgan leaked a private message that he claimed was sent to him by Meghan Markle in 2015, in which the then actress said she was a “big fan” of the television host.
A SMILING Queen today emerged after pulling no punches with a hardline Megxit deal as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry exit as senior royals.
For starters, they will be now simply known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after being forced to drop their Royal Highness titles.
And Her Majesty laid down the law last night - saying they can "no longer formally represent" her despite the couple having insisted they wanted to "fly the flag" for the Queen after quitting the Firm:

Prince Harry broke his silence Sunday on Megxit, saying he had “no other option” but to step back from his royal duties, according to a report. “The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back, is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges,” the 35-year-old prince said at a charity event in London. http://instagram.com/p/B7eJp7tJcXU “And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option,” said Harry, addressing for the first time his and wife Meghan Markle‘s plans to split from the royal family and give up their royal titles. During the event for his Sentebale charity at the Ivy Chelsea Club, Harry alluded that scrutiny from the media was a factor in he and Markle’s decision. “When I lost my mum 23 years ago, you took me under your wing,” he told the audience, referring to Princess Diana, who died in 1997 after a car she was in crashed while being chased by paparazzi. “You’ve looked out for me for so long, but the media is a powerful force, and my hope is one day our collective support for each other can be more powerful because this is so much bigger than just us.”

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stepped out on Monday to visit Prospect Hospice Swindon, England, in celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary. However, Prince Charles‘ wife appeared to be caught slightly off guard when asked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “Will you miss Harry and Meghan?” the reporter asks, as seen in a video shared on Twitter by ITV’s Chris Ship. After a pause, Camilla smiles and says, “Hmm. Course.”

The Queen considered stripping Harry of his royal dukedom as well as his HRH title and allowing him to use only the lesser title of earl, the Evening Standard has been told. As “The Duke of Sussex” is one of the ancient royal titles, downgrading Harry and Meghan’s rank in line with their reduced level of official duties was discussed, sources said. It is understood the suggestion was that the sixth in line to the throne would have been referred to by one of his lesser titles, the Earl of Dumbarton, with his wife being known as a countess — putting them on a par with Prince Edward and Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex. But the Queen and Prince of Wales did not wish to appear “petty” and felt banning the couple from using HRH in public and for commercial use — while still retaining it — was sufficient. A source said: “The Sussex title is one of the ancient royal dukedoms given to him ahead of his wedding to Meghan, along with other titles. Removing it was seriously considered and discussed at the highest level.”
