The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating his third birthday with a string of touching family photographs. But the royals have come under fire from some critics after allowing Prince George to feed ice cream to their family dog, Lupo, despite the fact dogs are highly allergic to dairy products. In a collection of images released today to mark his birthday, Prince George can be seen crouching on one knee with a cheeky smile on his face as he offers the spaniel a white chocolate ice cream. While the photo is one likely to appear in many family albums across the country, the royals have faced criticism from some animal cruelty campaigners who ridiculed them for giving Lupo treats. Experts warn that dogs are allergic to both dairy and chocolate and feeding them milk-based products such as ice cream could cause them digestive issues.

Sailing has been a part of Princess Kate and Prince William's life together since they first met at St. Andrew's University in Scotland. Yet it doesn't look as though Prince George is likely to join them onto the high seas just yet. "What did he get for his birthday? I'm not telling", William, 34, told competition winner Zak Kay, 10, ahead of the America's Cup World Series racing event in Portsmouth, England, on Sunday. "He got too many things. He's far too spoilt. He's not into boats yet."

Prince George rejected a high-five from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau upon arriving in the country with his parents and 16-month-old sister Princess Charlotte on Sunday. Trudeau greeted the royal family and knelt down to offer the shy Prince George, 3, his hand. The attempted high-five backfired when Prince George showed no interest in bonding with the prime minister.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have played with children of the Canadian military at a rare joint appearance at an official event. Charlotte, 16 months, was heard speaking in public for the first time - saying "pop" at the balloons that filled Government House in Victoria. The residence was transformed into a children's paradise, which included a petting zoo and miniature ponies. The play day was on day six of the Cambridges' eight-day tour of Canada. It is the first official trip all four of the family have been on together.

While Princess Charlotte is busy following in mom Princess Kate's fashionable footsteps (recycling clothes like a pro!), 3-year-old Prince George is taking style cues from Uncle Harry. Wearing maroon shorts, navy blue knee-high socks and his first pair of "grown up" loafers at a playdate in Victoria, Canada, on Thursday, it was clear that Kate is still favoring throwback fashions, echoing a look that Prince Harry wore 27 years ago when he was just 4 years old.
