Police are seeking sightings of missing Hawke's Bay 13-year-old Ashleigh Lay. Ashleigh was last seen about 11.15am on Thursday in Windsor Ave, Parkvale, Hastings. "We believe she may be travelling in a white Toyota Hilux, registration number ELP624," a police statement said. "Police are concerned for her safety and wellbeing." Anyone who has seen Ashleigh or is aware of her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 111 and quote file number 210318/4178.

The Lewiston Police Department is searching for Lanie Nolan, a 15-year-old from Oakland who hasn’t been seen since last Thursday, March 18. According to Police, Lanie is a current resident of New Beginnings, a housing and support facility for Maine youth in Lewiston. Lanie was last seen Thursday at the facility around 2:30 p.m. when she said she was “going for a walk,” but never returned. She was later reported missing to Lewiston police. Police said in a release it appears Lanie may have left the area willingly with a 23-year-old man, who she has been communicating with via social media. Police said the man is said to be from Vacaville, California. Police said Lanie may have been picked up by the man, who may be driving a blue 2001 Ford Mustang with Calif. plates (5LQL188). Lanie is described as being a fair-skinned white female who is 5’4”, 180 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, grey pants and sneakers, as well as eyeglasses. Officers and detectives are actively investigating and are in contact with Lanie’s parents and friends. On Tuesday, Lewiston police said they have enlisted Homeland Security Investigations, the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, for assistance in the investigation.

The Edmonton Police Service issued a plea for help from the public on Tuesday as it tried to find a 13-year-old girl reported missing by her family over the weekend. In a news release, police said Jessica Urwin was last seen on Sunday at a McDonald’s at 15333 Castle Downs Rd. at around 11 a.m. The EPS said she was seen with “two unknown males.” “She is known to frequent this McDonald’s, as well as Castle Downs Park,” police said, adding she requires medication. “Given her age, there are concerns for her well-being.” Jessica’s mother, Stacey Urwin, told Global News her daughter’s cognitive functions are somewhat impaired ever since she had a tumour removed. She said Jessica had permission to leave the home to go to Hudson Park and then Oxford Park. She said working with a behavioural therapist, they had a plan for how an outing like this could be made safe on her own. “We got her to set her phone to say (that at) 2 p.m., she had to make her way home,” she said, adding that Jessica texted her at noon and 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. “That was the last we heard from her,” Stacey said. “We’re really worried about her.

The body of Sinead Lyons, a 41-year-old woman from Lowell, Massachusetts, was found Friday in a New Hampshire lake. New Hampshire Fish and Game officials found her about 2 p.m. while searching Ossipee Lake in Ossipee, according to New Hampshire State Police. Her body was identified the state medical examiner. Lowell police have said she was driving to the Ossipee/Effingham, New Hampshire, area in a white Volvo station wagon.

Oregon officials are searching for a 7-year-old girl who went missing from Newport with her mother and is believed to be at risk. Alyssa Elizabeth Garner Cobe and her mother, Julie Garner, went missing Friday, officials said. The Oregon Department of Human Services is searching for her to assess her safety. The agency said Alyssa stands 3-foot-10, weighs 63 pounds and has hazel eyes and strawberry blonde hair. Officials believe Garner and her daughter are traveling to Vallejo, California, in a silver 2008 Honda Civic with Oregon license plate No. 942FEF.
