Actress Mayim Bialik will soon host a new talent show on TBS that will be filmed remotely. It will be called "Celebrity Show-Off," and 10 episodes have been ordered. The idea is that celebrities will compete to see who can provide the best content while at home.
Some of the celebrity contestants include Diplo, Ja Rule, Dwight Howard, Action Bronson, Gabi Butler, Tori Spelling, Travis Kelce, Nene Leakes, Jason Mraz, Kevin Smith, Bella Thorne, and Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis.
“Celebrity Show-Off” comes from the executive producer of “The Masked Singer," and according to Variety, the show is modeled off on the Korean show “My Little Television."
Executive producer Tom Forman made clear that the show is entirely unscripted, so prepare for anything to happen.
“We’ve all seen shows where stars are produced to dance, or sing, or compete. This isn’t that. These celebrities are raw and unfiltered and no one knows what they’ll do next. That means making the show is the most challenging thing ever, and watching it is pure joy.”
“After discovering ‘The Masked Singer’ and bringing it to American audiences, I have been on the lookout for interesting and innovative Korean formats. ‘Celebrity Show-Off’ is exactly that – a fresh, fun series unlike anything else on television.
It’s a cutting-edge take on celebrity competition that will allow viewers to see their favorite stars in completely new ways, and put a smile on their faces in these trying times.”
“Wait until you see what this cast has pulled off. From sharing never-before-seen talents, to performing crazy stunts or even bringing on special guests, the celebs’ shows are creatively ambitious with DIY charm – since our cast are all working with the limitations of what they’ve got available at home.”
‘I’ve never seen most of the episodes. I don’t watch myself on television. I’ve never sat and watched an episode of our show, ever," she says.
She's likely not the only actor who's ever admitted they don't watch the show they're most known for; still, it's hard to believe she's never really seem her character, Amy Farrah Fowler, come to life on the screen.
