Kelly Clarkson is a mega-talented performer and a veteran winner of one of the world's biggest singing competitions, so it can be tough to really shock her as a coach on The Voice. But a season 19 contestant did just that on Monday's round of Blind Auditions!
Kelsie Watts, a performer from Nashville, took the stage to perform a cover of Kelly's latest single, "I Dare You" -- a notoriously tough sell.
"It's my song!" Kelly lamented to the other coaches as she wrestled with whether to turn her chair.
However, when Kelsie hit an absolutely epic run of whistle notes, the performer and talk show host had no choice -- throwing up her hands and hitting her button, with Gwen Stefani following shortly after. Immediately after turning, Kelly leapt to her feet to applaud and was overcome with emotion as Kelsie ended the song.
"You better sing that song!" she yelled at the contestant, with a huge smile.

The Voice Season 19 Battle Rounds wrapped Monday, and going into this final night, only Blake Shelton had a Steal left in play, while Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson still had their Saves.
The newly single Kelly was in a noticeably flirty frame of mind during this episode, gushing about how “so sexy” it was when the male contestant that ultimately scored her Save, Ryan Gallagher, interpreted a rarely covered “female powerhouse song.” But her real self-described “inappropriate” moment came during one of Team Blake’s Battles, when her one of favorite vocalists of this season, alpha-male nomad musician Ian Flanigan, took the stage.
“I was like, glued to you. Like, it was inappropriate! I was like, ‘I gotta stop looking!’” Kelly gasped, after she’d witnessed Ian’s grizzled duet with retro-rocker Aaron Scott on “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. (It’s a good thing that her eye infection had cleared and she was no longer wearing that vision-blocking pirate patch.) “I would listen to you sing ‘You Are My Sunshine.’ You have such a storyteller vibe, and I’m attracted to that.”
Blake apparently had noticed Kelly’s bedroom-eyed, dilated-pupiled stare as well, quipping, “I saw her doing that, by the way. I looked down the aisle and thought, ‘What’s Kelly doing?’”

Gwen Stefani will not return for Season 20 of The Voice in 2021.
In keeping with her pattern of only coaching during odd-number seasons (Season 17, Season 19), Stefani is stepping away from the show's spring season, meaning fiance Blake Shelton and company will square off against a new coach, one fans are familiar with.
Season 20 of The Voice will feature Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas as coaches. Jonas was a coach for the first time during Season 18, taking Thunderstorm Artis to the finals. Host Carson Daly made the announcement on Today on Tuesday morning (Nov. 17), airing a clip of the three other judges finding out who they'll face, together.

The final Knockout Rounds of The Voice season 19 are here -- and John Legend may have saved the best for last!
Two "phenomenal talents" from Team Legend take the stage on Tuesday's episode for a head-to-head battle that leaves the coaches' jaws on the floor.
Cami Clune, a 20-year-old musical theater student, is up first, delivering a hauntingly spare rendition of "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins that has Kelly Clarkson up out of her seat almost immediately.
"I feel like you get better and better and I am so impressed by you," raves Kelly, who currently holds the final steal of the season.
John praises Cami for her vocal style and flexibility, after the two changed up her arrangement in the week ahead of the big performance. "It was so natural, and you seemed so comfortable and in your pocket," he notes.
However, Cami faces some tough competition on the other side of the stage. John Holiday, a 35-year-old professor of music, has wowed the coaches all season with his otherworldly range and powerful falsetto. He even stunned this season's mega mentor, Usher, when the pair met to work on his performance during the week.
"What just happened?" Usher mused after John's practice run. "How is he able to sing this high? What did I do wrong in this lifetime to not have this voice?"
John's song choice is an iconic one: "All by Myself," by Eric Carmen, which was made famous when Celine Dion covered it in 1996. He hits every note, and then some -- amazing the coaches by nailing the iconic high belt that Celine made a signature of the track.
"I quit," Gwen Stefani laughs after the performance. "I'm actually retired right now."
"It makes me feel so blessed to be on this show to watch someone like you," she adds. "The Olympics that are coming out of your mouth are crazy."

The Knockout Rounds are in full force on season 19 of The Voice -- and everyone's getting emotional! Monday's episode featured a Team Gwen showdown between Carter Rubin and Chloé Hogan, which brought Kelly Clarkson to tears and had Gwen Stefani threatening to walk off (again) over a seemingly impossible decision. Carter performed first, singing a powerful rendition of "You Say" by Lauren Daigle that brought the coaches to their feet in a standing ovation. All except Kelly, who was practically crumpled in her chair. "Oh my god, OK," she said as the 14-year-old crooner concluded his performance. "Like, I can't breathe." "My baby!" Gwen gushed with praise for the young performer. Holding her own, Chloé countered with an impressive rendition of "Weak" by SWV that also wowed the coaches. "This is gonna be a tough decision for Gwen," John Legend mused as he praised Chloe's song choice, saying the "degree of difficulty" was higher for the music instructor. "I was just stunned by how up to the challenge you were in every single moment." "I'm gonna cry right now!" Gwen said of her choice, as the other coaches offered their input. "Carter, I thought my makeup artist was gonna have to come out here and fix everything that's happening to me right now," Kelly marveled. "That's like a finale performance. It broke me in the most amazing of ways. And I'm still, like, about to cry about it." As for Chloé, Gwen said, "I feel like, if I don't pick you, you're gonna become this huge star... I'm gonna be the idiot on The Voice that didn't pick you, and then John Legend takes you to fame."
