Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa will release their long-awaited collaborative single, ‘Prisoner’, this week. Both artists have taken to social media to confirm that the song will hit streaming services this Friday (November 20) at midnight. Alongside details of the track’s release, Cyrus and Lipa have both shared a cryptic video that features the artists eating glacé cherries, smoking cigarettes and dancing. Watch it below: Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa have teased the release of ‘Prisoner’ throughout the year. Last month, Cyrus said the single was “perfectly a blend of the both of us”. In May, Lipa revealed that the pair had discussed plans to link up on a song prior to the coronavirus pandemic. However, lockdown restrictions forced them to delay their plans.

Earlier today, Miley Cyrus shared a photo on Twitter from her music video for her new single, “Prisoner.” The single and music video came out yesterday on all streaming platforms, featuring Dua Lipa. This is the most recent out of a stream of music released in the latter half of this year. Two of the singles released came from live performances while the others were singles.
“SHE IS COMING FOR ALL THE CATEGORIES,” the post reads.
The song does not mark Miley’s first venture into genre-bending sound. In fact, her experimental style has developed over years and years of trial and error. Miley Cyrus has proven time and time again that she is way more than just a pop star or a country star. This new release reinforces that sentiment.
The provocative photo comes from the set of the high-energy music video. In the video, Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa drive around a tour bus dressed in exciting clothes. They eventually get to a stage to perform in a punk rock bar setting, fitting the aesthetic of the video.
Cyrus continues to develop her unique sense of style and sound through each of the releases of this year. She has come a long way from the little girl we saw on Hannah Montana, both artistically and as a person. The trajectory of her sound has followed closely alongside her maturation. As Miley Cyrus has experimented with her lifestyle and her looks, she has reflected that experimentation in her music.

Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa Talk ‘Prisoner’ | On Air With Ryan Seacrest At the beginning of October, after being spotted shooting a video together in New York City, rumblings that Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa were working on a secret project began to emerge. As to what the project was, however, both remained tight-lipped. The first concrete clues came earlier this week when Cyrus unveiled the tracklist for her upcoming rock-inspired album Plastic Hearts: sitting at number four on the lineup was “Prisoner,” featuring Lipa. And finally, earlier this evening, the song dropped as a surprise release—accompanied by a video that more than lives up to Cyrus’s track record for provocative, boundary-pushing visuals. With Cyrus and Lipa performing as unnamed rockstars, the clip sees them driving a tour bus together, writhing around on the floor, and pouring blood-red cherry juice over each other, before delivering a riotous show in a dive bar that ends with Lipa giving the audience the middle finger while wearing an ultra-rare ’90s Gucci cut-out dress designed by Tom Ford. Just your average Saturday night, then.

The 28-year-old singer looked back at the different chapters of her career during the Dec. 2 episode of The Howard Stern Show. From reflecting on her Disney days to talking about her new Dua Lipa collab "Prisoner," Cyrus covered it all. She also opened up about her personal life, including her divorce from Liam Hemsworth and her sobriety journey. For a recap of some of the biggest revelations she shared during the interview, read below. On Her "Prisoner" Music Video With Dua Lipa Dua Lipa and Cyrus released their song "Prisoner" in November. And while Howard Stern claimed "it looks like the two of you are having full-on sex" in the music video, Cyrus said this wasn't the case. "We did not have sex," Cyrus said. "Dua Lipa constantly reminds me. She gives me the 'in your dreams.' I've never actually had a wet dream about Dua Lipa. That's something that she's projecting onto me. I did not get to have sex with her unfortunately." Cyrus then pointed out that Dua Lipa is dating Anwar Hadid. "I don't really wanna f--k Dua Lipa that much," she added. "I think I know her too well as a friend, and, like, I don't know—not really, no. But I definitely like kind of pretending that we have because it ends up getting us a lot of views on our music video. So, it's just manipulation, just the standard pop culture manipulation. Ok, I kind of want to f--k her, like, 5 percent. The more and more I'm thinking about it, I kind of do." She also said the "New Rules" star "doesn't really wanna f--k" her either. "Maybe if she did, I'm sure I'd take the bait. I mean, like come on." Cyrus said. "I would. If it was an opportunity that presented itself. There are a lot of things that I haven't really wanted, and then when it comes to be in front of me, there I go. I don't know."

Miley Cyrus has been teasing her collaboration with Dua Lipa for months. Now the video for their song “Prisoner” is out and it’s very suggestive. Cyrus says that’s all an act though. She’s not trying to sleep with Dua Lipa in real life.
Cyrus appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Dec. 2 to play some songs and promote her new album, Plastic Hearts. Stern asked about her attraction to Dua Lipa and because it’s Howard Stern, the language Cyrus uses goes there.
Dua Lipa is not available even though Miley Cyrus is Stern asked Cyrus if she really had sex with Dua Lipa while filming “Prisoner.” Cyrus said that, although she is available, Dua Lipa is not.
“We did not have sex,” Cyrus told Stern. “I did not get to have sex with her, unfortunately. She has a boyfriend. I’m free and can do whatever the f*ck I want which feels great for the first time in years and years. I could’ve gone there.”
Dua Lipa may not be Miley Cyrus’s type Cyrus has had many different high profile celebrities, including her marriage to Liam Hemsworth and relationships with Kaitlynn Carter and Stella Maxwell. She was reluctant to explain why she’s not attracted to Dua Lipa.
“I don’t know what’s worse, if I say that she’s not my type or she is my type,” Cyrus said. “What I’m after, I don’t really want to f*ck Du Lipa that much. I think I know her too well as a friend. Not really, no. I definitely like pretending that we have because it ends up getting us a lot of views on our music video. It’s just manipulation, the standard pop culture manipulation.”
Not that Cyrus isn’t physically attracted to Dua Lipa. However, Cyrus explained what she’s looking for in an intimate relationship.
