BLACKPINK's Jennie slayed her "Solo" set during their first livestream concert "The Show" on Jan. 31, and she's revealing how she did it in a new vlog. The member of the K-pop girl group posted a nearly five-minute video on Tuesday (Feb. 9) that documented her dance rehearsals for her performance of "Solo," her debut single from 2018 that reached No. 1 on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 and World Digital Song Sales charts. She also gave a special shoutout to the Blinks, the name of Blackpink's fandom, in her latest vlog when she showed off her eye-shaped clip and sang along to "Solo": "'Every time I blink! You could see it in your eyes like I every time I blink!' It's representational. I'm talking about Blinks." But she gasped when the cute yet sharp accessory poked holes in her beloved jeans. http://instagram.com/p/CKyiQhElbCM "Oh my God! Oh my God! This is one of my favorite jeans! I'm so upset right now!" she cried to Rosé. During the livestream concert, the 25-year-old singer-rapper served up a surprise for the Blinks when she performed the empowering post-breakup anthem with a refreshed concept and a whole set of new rap lyrics.

Lisa being an exceptional dancer is no secret, but did you know she can act, dance and look like an absolute boss lady, while performing the sexiest dance moves with utmost grace, style and elan? That's exactly what she has done in her new cinema-style dance film The Movie. The cinematic dance video is directed by Anthony King and choreographed by Cheshir Ha. The video starts with a black and white shot of Lisa, getting down a black car. She is seen wearing a pant-suit, her hair tied in a long pony. We enter a casino where everyone is wearing Bane-style masks because, COVID-19! The setting is akin to 60s and 70s Hollywood gangster films. The tune begins to Lisa's entry, who looks like an absolute boss lady in her pant-suit and crimson red lips. She displays her excellent acting chops as she gauges the fellow players seated on the table. Destiny Rogers' song Tomboy plays in the background as Lisa showcases her chic dance moves, wearing an over-sized pant-suit with an athleisure style to it. The atmosphere in the room shifts from bright to sombre, as the lights change from yellow, green and blue to red and black. Lisa appears wearing fitted, black shorts and a crop top, paired with high-heeled leather boots. She shows off her sexy dance moves as she dances to the song, the backgrounds matching steps with her. http://instagram.com/p/CLMExbNpQfL Towards the end, we see a brief element of magic-realism too, as the video ends with Lisa strutting about and walking away from the camera. The cinematic dance film certainly wowed BLINKS as it trended at number one on Twitter! American Singer Destiny Rogers, whose song Tomboy was used for the dance film, too showered praise on the video saying, "THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR USING MY SONG!!!!!!!! THIS WAS AMAZING ILY<3". She posted Lisa's dance video on her Instagram to show her appreciation as well.

If there’s a positive to take from the last 12 months, it is the perspective provided by the pandemic. For many – celebrities and globally adored K-Pop idols included – it has been a time to reevaluate what’s most important in life. http://instagram.com/p/CMzbJ4xjhjW On 27 March, Blackpink’s Lisa Manoban turned 24. It would be easy to assume her mountain of gifts from Celine and and personalised cake from MAC added up to the perfect birthday, but Lisa admitted that for her, something was missing. Addressing her 48.9 million followers, Lisa explained that she wasn’t able to spend her birthday with her family – an experience that will strike a chord with so many. As Lisa is based in Seoul but her family are from Thailand, travel restrictions prevented them from getting together to mark her special day. It’s a bittersweet feeling that will be familiar to many of her fans, not least her fellow Aries signs among them, who are marking their second birthday in lockdown. http://instagram.com/p/CM6iQPMjdjJ Looking on the bright side, Lisa thanked her devoted Blinks (Blackpink fans) for their sweet birthday messages. Lisa expressed that she felt lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate #LalisaDay with her millions of fans around the world. “Thank you for making my birthday so special every year,” she added.
