Little Archie's days as an only child will soon be over! Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are now expecting their second child. In an announcement on Sunday, Harry and the former Meghan Markle revealed that another baby royal is on the way. “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.  "Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow," he wrote. "Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!" Buckingham Palace released a statement following the exciting announcement. "Her Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and the entire family are delighted and wish them well," a spokesperson said.  It's also possible that baby No. 2 will be the last for the royal parents. In an interview in the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, which was guest edited by Meghan, Harry spoke to Jane Goodall about climate change — a topic he told the conservationist he'd given even more thought to since having a child of his own. But at the mention of children, Goodall playfully warned him, for the sake of the environment, not to have "too many." Meghan Markle's pregnancy announcement included a sweet nod to her son Archie Harrison. Along with the happy news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child together, which they announced on Sunday, they shared a romantic black-and-white photograph. In the image, which was taken via iPad by their friend and longtime photographer Misan Harriman, the couple cuddles up together while enjoying a private moment in nature. While Harry, 36, gives a big smile to Meghan, she rests her head on her husband's lap and cradles her growing baby bump.  For the photo, the soon-to-be mom of two wore a floor-length Carolina Herrera dress, which was made for her while she was pregnant with her son, who will turn 2 on May 6. Meghan has a longtime rapport with the brand's creative director, Wes Gordon. Harriman — the first Black photographer to shoot a cover of British Vogue — shared a loving tribute to Meghan on Instagram. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced on Valentine’s Day that they are expecting their second child by releasing a touching photo. The announcement had a special meaning, as 37 years ago on Feb. 14, Princess Diana announced she was pregnant with her second child, Prince Harry. Women are taking note that Meghan is pregnant at age 39, after suffering a miscarriage last July. She wrote a poignant op-ed about her experience in The New York Times.
The Duchess of Sussex wears a flowing dress by Carolina Herrera that was first made when she was pregnant with Archie. Meghan has a longtime rapport with the brand's creative director, Wes Gordon.

Buckingham Palace is launching a probe into allegations that Meghan Markle bullied staff as a senior royal, reports said Wednesday.  The Duchess of Sussex was accused of creating a toxic and manipulative atmosphere for royal aides in a Tuesday story published in the Times of London that sparked the investigation, the palace said in a statement late Wednesday. “We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the statement said, according to Yahoo News UK.  “Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned. The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace.” Markle is accused of occasionally reducing staffers to tears when she lived at Kensington Palace after her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. In one alleged incident, the Times reported a royal aide told a colleague “I can’t stop shaking” as they anticipated a confrontation with the Duchess. |
