Zara Larsson Live In Concert Current Dork cover star Zara Larsson knows we’re all missing a good old fashioned pop show, so this week she’s brought us one. Performing on Monday (8th March) for International Women’s Day, Zara played a set for her new album ‘Poster Girl’ alongside Ikea, with custom-built sets and everything. Encouraging fans to donate to Unicef during the free show, Zara said: ”on International Women’s Day we celebrate the achievements of women around the world. But we must also raise awareness about the inequality women and girls face – one of the most important things being education. Over 130 million girls are out of school. When we invest in girls education, we transform communities, countries and the entire world. Most girls don’t grow up in a world of opportunities; they build one. Because this concert we’re all enjoying is completely free, I would very much appreciate if you would give what you can.”

Zara Larsson - Love Me Land (Official Performance Music Video) If you didn’t already think that Larsson is head over heels in love – she recently said “it’s just not legal to feel this good” – ‘Poster Girl’, her third album, would seem to make it pretty plain. The record begins with the blissful shimmer of her 2020 single ‘Love Me Land’, on which she sings: “Never thought I would love again / Here I am, lost in Love Me Land.” Other highlights include the soulful bop ‘I Need Love’ – “like an addict needs a drug,” she purrs – and ‘Need Someone’, which features the wonderfully self-assured couplet: “I’m happy I don’t need someone / I’m happy, but I want you.” The penultimate track ‘FFF’ turns out to be shorthand for “falling for a friend”. Still, Larsson politely deflects my suggestion that ‘Poster Girl’ is a kind of concept album about entering into a joyous new relationship after a break-up. Back in August 2019, amid internet rumours that she’d split from her boyfriend, the model Brian Whittaker, Larsson shared an Instagram meme that read: “When you get your heartbroken but it’s OK because the street’s been waiting for you to be single again.” Later that month, she confirmed to People magazine that she was indeed “single right now”.

Zara Larsson - WOW (Official Performance Music Video)
Who: Swedish pop star Zara Larsson just released her new album, Poster Girl, featuring mega-hits like "Ruin My Life" and "WOW." The project, as Larsson explained to PAPER, is an empowering collection of tracks that sees her looking up to herself in the same way she did with influential musicians growing up. "It also has this coming-of-womanhood sense to it," she said of the follow-up to 2017's So Good.
When: The virtual concert, presented by Live Nation and in collaboration with Ikea, will air exclusively on Larsson's YouTube for a limited time starting today at 2 PM EST.
Why watch: In celebration of International Women's Day today, Larsson will take the virtual stage to bring her Poster Girl tracks to life. Based on her 2020 MTV EMA's performance of "WOW," this showcase is bound to be packed with powerful pop vocals and sexy choreography. Ikea has notably partnered with Larsson for the holiday to create a free digital game, called FiftyFifty, which promotes everyday equality and a balanced at-home work load. Larsson's live show will ultimately raise money and awareness for Unicef.

Zara Larsson clearly doesn't stand for body-shaming or negative comments being made about her figure by fans, online trolls, and now, her own creative director.
The Swedish musician impressively called out her own creative director Ryder Ripps, after discovering that he'd been making offensive body-shaming comments about her, to his fiancé and fellow musician, Azealia Banks.
Larsson had recently collaborated with Ryder Ripps, a conceptual artist and creative director who also designs merch and art for Grimes. Despite this, Azealia Banks' had a different kind of collaboration in mind after sharing a series of conversations with Ripps on her Instagram stories, where he blatantly makes fun of Larsson's arms.
One of the messages between Banks and Ripps showed a photo of Larsson while on-stage, immersed in her performance with one arm raised. Alongside the image, Ripps commented: "Zara Armsson".
Adding fuel to the fire, Banks' dirty laundry airing continued with another shared message about Larsson that read, "Ryder making fun of Zara Larsson's arms again", allowing audiences to assume this wasn't his first time doing so. In another series of messages, Ripps said of Larsson, "I think z should get fatter, and stop trying to be hot, just be a fat b*tch."
