Don't be fooled by Gabriella Laberge's delicate demeanor: Her America's Got Talent audition showed off the colossal power of her voice. http://instagram.com/p/BiuMEhmnIDA The French-Canadian violinist and singer from Montreal told the AGT judges that she believes her "American Dream could come true" before pulling out her violin for a stirring performance of James Blunt's 2004 song "Goodbye My Lover." But it wasn't the violin that struck a chord with the audience: It was her singing voice, which immediately revealed her impressive range as she sang the opening lyrics, "Did I disappoint you or let you down? Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?" And she surely did not let the judges frown, considering the panel of Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell gave Laberge a standing ovation that left her in tears. http://instagram.com/p/BUVFL_5Fjgc 'Police Academy' Star Michael Winslow Wows 'America's Got Talent' Judges: Watch This isn't the 28-year-old musician's first stint on a national singing competition series. In 2016, she appeared on The Voice France and wowed the crowd with her blind audition performance of Coldplay's "The Scientist," which scored her a four-chair turn. Watch her AGT audition below before it airs in full on Tuesday night's (July 20) episode, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Nightbirde, the Ohio artist whose tear-jerking performance on America’s Got Talent earned her a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell, announced Monday on Instagram that she is withdrawing from the competition because of her health.
Earlier: Nightbirde talks to NBC4 about winning ‘AGT’ Golden Buzzer In her post, Nightbirde, whose name is Jane Marczewski, wrote:
“Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true. My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider.
“Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already.
“Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me. Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.”
Nightbirde, 30, from Zanesville, is in her third bout with cancer. She shared her experience during her AGT audition in June and was scheduled to appear on the show again in August.

Jane Marczewski, the “America’s Got Talent” contestant who went viral for scoring a Golden Buzzer from judge Simon Cowell, has a health update for fans who have missed her since she had to leave the show. And she’s confident that she’ll be on stage again one day. Marczewski, who performs under the stage name Nightbirde, announced her departure from the competition earlier this week, posting a picture to her Instagram explaining the situation. “Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me,” she wrote. “Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.” http://instagram.com/p/CSEuaEyn0sr On Wednesday night, Nightbirde appeared on CNN with Chris Cuomo, revealing a bit more specifics regarding her condition. But she also doubled down on her message of optimism. “I got shocking news less than a week ago about cancer regrowth that has taken over my lungs and liver. So my liver right now is mostly cancer. More cancer than liver in there right now,” Marczewski said. “But like I said, I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Some people would call that blind denial. I prefer to call it rebellious hope. And I’m not stopping anytime soon.” When asked how exactly she maintains that positivity, given the fact that she has just a two percent chance of survival, Marczewski noted that it was definitely a conscious choice, rather than a natural instinct. http://instagram.com/p/CSLVcu2nZHO “When you go through something that is so devastating, makes no sense, there are no answers, you kind of have the choice, like, am I going to become bitter, or am I not?” the singer said. “You do have a choice, you know. You do get to decide what becomes of you in a sense and, you know, I’ve decided in my most painful moments to keep my eyes open because it’s easier. It’s easier to close your eyes and to give up and forget it but there is so much beauty and poetry to be seen in the world if you’re willing to sign off on the pain that it takes to stay awake in the middle of something that hurts so bad, that’s all this is. Anybody can do it.” She also added that she really wants to see what happens when — not if — she makes it through. First on her list? Writing an incredible record.
