BLACKPINK’s Lisa is dominating iTunes charts across the globe with her solo debut!
On September 10 at 1 p.m. KST, Lisa made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “LALISA,” featuring the title track of the same name. Within hours of its release, Lisa’s new song “Lalisa” soared to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries around the world.
According to YG Entertainment, as of 8 a.m. KST on September 11, “Lalisa” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes charts in at least 60 different regions.
Additionally, the music video for “Lalisa” has managed to rack up an impressive total of over 64 million views in just over 20 hours.
Meanwhile, Lisa will be performing “Lalisa” for the first time on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on September 10 local time.

Lisa of Blackpink has made history with her first solo music video, which became a mega hit hours after the Thai K-Pop star released it on Friday.
The World Music Awards, which tracks popular recording artists, said on Twitter that Lalisa was the fastest-breaking video ever by a female K-pop artist, having topped 30 million views in five hours and 30 minutes.
Views had reached 42 million and climbing nine hours after the launch.
Lalisa, named for the Buri Ram native's real name, Lalisa Manoban, is the title track of her first solo album bearing the same name. The frenetic number features countless costume changes, including one elaborate Thai-themed outfit.
Lisa is the third member of Blackpink to produce a solo release. Four of the music videos produced by the group have surpassed one billion views each on YouTube.
"My new single, Lalisa, is out now. I hope you like it," she told her Australian fans on her Twitter account.

The Met Gala is a fundraising gala held every year in May that is overseen by Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of fashion magazine Vogue. It is one of the biggest fashion events of the year that attracts public attention from all around the world.
Last year’s gala was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while this year’s took place four months later than usual. The theme of the 2021 Met Gala was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.”
Rosé showed up at the event as the global ambassador of Saint Laurent alongside the brand’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello. She wore a black and white customized Saint Laurent dress with a big metal and enamel choker and drop earrings to add some glam to her look.
