(Bloomberg): Former US President Trump says he wants to run a campaign centered on policy. Advisors are also encouraging this. But he said he couldn't do that because the Obamas would be badmouthing him on live prime-time television.
"Did you see Barack Hussein Obama last night?" Trump asked supporters at a rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, on the 21st. "He attacked everyone's president, including Michelle," Trump said. "We always say, 'Mr. President, please focus on policy and avoid personal attacks,' but they kept making personal attacks all night long," he said.

Robert Kennedy Jr. (70), a lawyer who has indicated his intention to run as an independent candidate for the US presidential election, will give a speech on his ``future policy'' on the 23rd. The camp made the announcement on the 21st. Multiple US media outlets have reported, citing sources, that Kennedy is considering withdrawing from the race and supporting former Republican President Donald Trump, 78.
According to his campaign, Mr. Kennedy will deliver a "speech to the nation" in Phoenix, Arizona, on the 23rd. According to CNN TV, Mr. Kennedy is planning to attend Mr. Trump's campaign rally scheduled for the same day in a Phoenix suburb.
Mr. Trump had made it clear that if Mr. Kennedy withdrew and supported him, he would consider appointing him to a key position if he was re-elected. NBC has reported that Trump's eldest son, Donald Jr., and Tucker Carlson, a former leading conservative Fox News host who is close to Trump, have been contacting Kennedy behind the scenes.

Former President Trump will be joined Friday by a “special guest” at a rally in Arizona, his campaign said, an announcement that comes amid speculation that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will end his independent White House bid and back Trump.
“President Trump will be joined by a special guest as he delivers remarks about his America First policies and his vision to lower inflation and the cost of living, secure the border, and make our cities safe again,” the Trump campaign said in a press release.
Trump is scheduled to address a Turning Point Action event in Glendale late Friday afternoon. Kennedy is scheduled to deliver remarks in the Phoenix area earlier in the day, fueling chatter that he may appear alongside Trump.
The former president was asked during a Thursday event near the southern border in Arizona whether Kennedy would be joining him Friday.
“No plans have been made at this moment,” Trump said, adding that it would be “a great honor” to receive Kennedy’s endorsement.
