FINALEN: Klara Hammarström - Run To The Hills
For TV viewers, Klara first became known through SVT's series Familjen Hammarström, where viewers got to follow a horse family where Klara is one of eleven siblings. After previously focusing on her career as an elite rider, she changed her focus to music. Her single "You Should Know Me Better" topped the Swedish radio list, and shortly after she debuted at the Melodifestivalen 2020 with the contribution "Nobody", which finished in fifth place in the competition.
She was back in the competition in 2021 with "Beat of Broken Hearts" which reached the final via Andra chansen, where she beat Efraim Leo with the score 8-0 from the viewing groups. In the final, she reached a sixth place, and the song has been played extensively on the radio since then.
With the song "Run to the Hills", Klara Hammarström does a hat trick in the Melodifestivalen with three contributions in three years. Together with Alvaro Estrella, she qualified for 2021 as the first artist since Andreas Johnson in 2008 to compete in the Melodifestivalen three years in a row. She is the first pure solo artist to stand for that feat since Shirley Clamp in 2005.
