Pippa Middleton's engagement ring is impossible to ignore. It's enormous - a sumptuous three-carat diamond surrounded by 12 smaller stones. Every time she moves her hand and it catches the light, the effect is dazzling. We meet in a suite of a discreet hotel in the shadow of Kensington Palace where she has agreed to give her first major newspaper interview to talk about her new charity cookery book, Heartfelt, produced to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The flipside of her celebrity status has seen her the target of social media abuse and a drip, drip, drip of gossip that would destroy the most confident of social butterflies. 'I have had a few years of being in the public eye and I have developed something of a thick skin,' she says. 'But managing it all on my own has been quite hard. I have quite a lot thrown at me, such as being followed by people hiding behind cars and jumping out with cameras. It can be unnerving.' Unlike her sister, she doesn't have any security guards or media minders. 'There's always something cropping up and that has to be managed on my own. It's been a real eye-opener for James. There have been quite a few hurdles to negotiate,' she says carefully. 'I guess it's become the new normal for us. It means there are factors we have to weigh up and think about, but we try not to let it affect us. I try not to be too sensitive about things because it's just a bit of life I have to deal with. But I would be lying if I said it didn't affect me.'

A British High Court has extended an injunction banning the publication of reportedly hacked photos and other data belonging to Pippa Middleton, the sister of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, Middleton's attorneys told CNN on Wednesday. Lawyer Adam Wolanski brought the civil court action in London against the "person or persons unknown" on behalf of Middleton and her fiancé, financier James Matthews. Neither Middleton nor Matthews appeared in court. Images of the duchess along with her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are believed to be among the 3,000 images snatched from Middleton's Apple iCloud data backup account, according to British media reports.

Pippa Middleton will tie the knot in her local village church followed by a reception at her parents' home, it was reported last night. The 33-year-old is reportedly set to marry fiancé James Matthews at St Mark’s Church, in Englefield, Berkshire. The wedding party will then be held at Carole and Michael Middleton's £6million home in nearby Bucklebury, according to The Sun. The modest nuptials are in stark contrast to older sister Kate's extravagant wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

Pippa Middleton famously stole the show from her older sister on her wedding day in 2011, as she sashayed down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in a figure-hugging dress that earned her the title 'her royal hotness'. But while some might be tempted to get their own back, it's said that Kate is anxious not to upstage Pippa on her big day next year. And that's why the Duchess of Cambridge, 34, will not be acting as bridesmaid or maid of honour when she ties the knot with financier James Matthews, 41, in 2017.

There was an "immense sense of joy" at Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' wedding ceremony, a guest tells E! News. The two tied the knot at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire in England Saturday in front of friends and family, including her sister Kate Middleton, her husband Prince William, their kids Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, who served as a page boy and bridesmaid, and William's brother Prince Harry. "It was a beautiful, traditional ceremony," a guest told E! News exclusively. Pippa and James both looked a little nervous but they were smiling at each other the entire ceremony. They were positively beaming. They kissed of course after exchanging vows! Their parents looked proud and there was an immense sense of joy in the air." "They read their vows with absolute sincerity and, as expected, Pippa read more modern vows, not promising to 'obey' her husband," the guest continued. "That's quite normal these days." The children, the person added, were "perfectly behaved inside," "although Charlotte began to cry at one point and [the kids' nanny] comforted her."
