 Pippa Middleton won a global fan base after her star turn as a bridesmaid at the Royal Wedding – and even turned down an offer of £300,000 to appear on Oprah Winfrey's US talk show. Yet today, Pippa's media career is over. The Mail on Sunday has established that she has no substantial contracts left and, more significantly, has no intention of taking on new work.  And the reason for this vanishing act, say friends, is that 32-year-old Pippa has been 'quietly and diplomatically reined in' by Prince William, who is understood to have been helping advise her on her future role.  The Duke of Cambridge is said to be sharply aware that commercial ventures associated with the Royal Family, including Pippa's projects, might bring criticism or damage the family reputation. A friend of Pippa said: 'It was felt by William in particular that she needed some guidance and support.  'Among some courtiers, there were also echoes of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, after her break-up with Prince Andrew and how she sold herself out with various corporate deals. It was felt something needed to be done. So Pippa has been quietly and diplomatically reined in.' |

Pippa Middleton is never one to shy away from a fitness challenge, and on Saturday she took on one of her most testing experiences to date – running the Great Wall Marathon in China. This gruelling 26.2 mile course took place in 29⁰C heat and includes some 5,164 steps, but as ever the Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister rose to the challenge and didn't disappoint.  The 32-year-old completed the course in an impressive 4 hours and 54 minutes, making her the 13th woman to cross the finish line and placing her 69th out of 2,444 runners. Speaking to race organisers after the race, Pippa conceded that it had been "tough", but the stunning views had made up for the physical exertion.  "It was long, it was hard. The Great Wall sections were stunning, they were some of the best bits despite how hard they were," Pippa said. "The whole thing was a really unique experience." |

 Pippa Middleton, younger sister to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has always loved sport as much as her older sister -- and shows it year after year in the crowd at Wimbledon. They royal couple typically also make an appearance, but for the first day of Britain's biggest tennis tournament, it was the Middletons who stole the show.  Pippa arrived alongside her brother James wearing a pretty white dress covered in poppies by British designer Suzannah (also a favorite of Kate's). The Monaco Dress retails for £1,200.00 (or $1,872.00), and is described as "a beautiful fluid dress with soft tailoring which creates a flattering and utterly feminine line."  Pippa paired the look with strappy sandals and a red clutch, looking ever the English rose in the floral design.  Heads down against the breeze that blows across the peaks of the Lake District on the sunniest of days, the couple had their eyes on a distant hill.  Like other weekend walkers out on the fells last Saturday, Pippa Middleton and her boyfriend James Matthews paused to enjoy the magnificent views from the summit and to catch their breath.  But as Pippa took in the scenery, her romantic beau was dropping to his knees and preparing an even more spectacular sight – drawing out a stunning diamond ring from deep within a pocket.  Kneeling before her James asked Pippa to marry him. And within a moment she said ‘yes’ and suddenly Britain’s most eligible young woman was off the market. |
