Last week, Disney XD and Disney Channel surprised us with two Star Wars: The Force Awakens behind-the scenes previews which gave us a better image on Domhall Gleeson as General Hux. Today, guess what? We got another preview of the upcoming sci-fi movie Star Wars 7. This time though, the focus is on Daisy Ridley’s character, Rey. We get to see her on action, scavenging on the desert planet of Jakku. And another great part of this preview is that we get to see the alien played by Simon Pegg as well. We do not have much knowledge about this specific alien. We don’t know its story and it’s right place in the scenario. We do know that he is on Jakku as well with Rey. and he also seems to be an alley. Besides all this stuff, this new preview gives us new footage of both Rey and John Boyega’s Finn. Here is what Daisy Ridley had to say about her character in Star Wars: 7 movie. Rey is so wonderful. She’s vulnerable. And she’s strong. She’s a scavenger on the desert planet of Jakku. She’s up for new experiences. And new adventures. This has been really special. I love the films. But obviously, now being a part of it, is really amazing. And it has been a lot of fun on set. I think the kids are going to love it, because they can really connect with the characters. BB-8 is amazing. We are packed full of creatures. It’s really cool.” The plot of the movie will be something like this: everybody learned that the Star Wars Galaxy is a very dangerous place in which you can encounter strange planets, strange creatures, and enemies. A long time ago, a group of heroes joined together to save the Galaxy from an Evil Empire. Now, another threat appeared, a threat that wants to destroy everything that the team fought for. As time passed, a new team of heroes has been created to take the place of the old one and maintain the peace. Rey is one of them, a scavenger who is searching for answers and Finn, a rogue Stormtrooper who is looking for trouble. They team up with a droid BB-8. All three of them will have to make a choice: fight together against the dark side or continue their journey on their own.

What's not to love about Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? A new face to the franchise, Ridley, 23, also comes as a wave of feminist fresh air as the series' new female lead, and arguably the first woman to truly lead a Star Wars film. We've had Princess Leia (portrayed by Carrie Fisher) and Queen Amidala (portrayed by Natalie Portman) from Star Wars film predecessors, but Rey feels particularly different — from what we've seen of her, she appears to be pretty scrappy and independent. Awesome, right? But will she be sticking around for the long haul? How many Star Wars movies will Daisy Ridley be in, according to her contract? Well, unlike most questions about the new Star Wars films, this one's a little easier to unpack. We know that Ridley has described Rey as "an amazing character" in a behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming movie. Ridley also said, "I hope that women and men all across the world get to see something they relate to in Rey: a strong woman who kind of does her own thing and has her own story." Well, get excited guys, because not only will she be introduced in The Force Awakens, the plan is that Ridley will also appear in next two Star Wars movies, reports Deadline. Star Wars: Episode VIII is slated to be released in theaters on May 26, 2017 with Rian Johnson confirmed writing and directing the second film of the sequel trilogy. Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow is confirmed to direct Star Wars: Episode IX, an announcement made at this year's D23 according to The Hollywood Reporter. Episode IX will be released in 2019, so Ridley has a long journey ahead of her — and she comes from pretty humble beginnings. Ridley, who hails from London, told the New York Times in a recent interview that her last job before The Force Awakens was working at a beer and ale house. Ridley's pretty much come from small television and film roles to bartender to starring in one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. Ridley told the Times that director J.J. Abrams himself called her to let her know she had scored the role of Rey. And while not much else is currently known about Rey, one rumored that's sprung up from the well of The Force Awakens theories positions Rey to be even more of a crucial character than any of us can imagine. The mystery surrounding Rey may be due to a familial connection.

Such is life right now for Daisy Ridley, the British actress who’s about to go very global as the lead in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (in theaters Friday) and a woman seemingly as comfortable piloting the Millennium Falcon as that scruffy old nerfherder Harrison Ford. (No word yet on if her character Rey can do the Kessel Run in less than Han Solo's record of 12 parsecs.) Ridley, 23, is just starting to grasp how big this whole saga is on a worldwide scale, something she didn’t realize when she was filming the blockbuster-in-waiting. “I’m glad I wasn’t thinking about it at the time, because I think that would be quite a lot of pressure,” she says. “I know it sounds cringe-y but I was really just trying to do a good job and I wasn’t thinking so much. And it didn’t feel like we were part of a huge thing.” Ridley's Rey is a scavenger on the desert planet Jakku who was left there when she was 5 and now waits for someone, maybe even her family, to come get her. When a little droid named BB-8 and an AWOL Stormtrooper named Finn (John Boyega) blast into her life, things get more interesting, and she’s catapulted headfirst into a world of lightsaber-wielding Jedi and the oppressive First Order that to her has been only the stuff of myth and legend.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out there now, and soon enough everyone will move on to being excited about Star Wars Episode VIII. In fact, Daisy Ridley already knows what’s in store for her new character, as she revealed that she already ready the script. When asked whether she read what Rian Johnson had cooked up, she said, “I have. It’s very good; very good. Let’s see VII first and then we’ll talk about VIII.” I’m sure we’ll be talking about VIII plenty in the future. For more from Ridley, read the full interview over at Variety. Star Wars in Concert will be making a comeback in 2016 after touring around the world in 2009 and 2010. The previous iteration of the concert had Anthony Daniels (who plays C-3PO) hosting, telling the story of Star Wars in between music pieces that were accompanied by clips from the movies on a massive screen behind the orchestra. Now the concert will return in 2016, and if you want to find out how to get tickets as soon as they are available, sign up over at the official Star Wars in Concert website. J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated take on George Lucas' franchise collected an estimated $120.5 million in its first day, including $57 million for Thursday night preview shows, making it the highest single day on record, according to Walt Disney Co. The Thursday night tally topped the previous record holder, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2," which grossed $43.5 million from Thursday shows in July 2011.

Daisy Ridley may be a new name, but it will be a household mainstay in the future with the 23-year-old fully stepping into the spotlight as Rey in the brand new installment of "Star Wars." Set almost three decades after "Return of the Jedi," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" brings out the old and the new. For Ridley, this is her first step into what looks like a really bright career. In an interview with Variety, the fresh-faced British actress shared her most memorable moments so far since jumping in to the adventure in a galaxy far far away. Now, she sees herself in magazines and action figures. She even met Felicity Jones. Furthermore, Ridley doesn't want the fame to get into her head. More so, it sounded almost like she was terrified at first given the massive world she is going to dive into and was quoted in saying, "I was emailing Simon Pegg and he said, 'Here's where the fun begins' — as Han Solo said — and that's nice because I guess I've been told by millions of people that my life's going to change and am I ready?" "And it gets to the point of 'okay, all right.' So remembering to enjoy it and to be in the moment so it's not passing me by, so I can really remember how it felt at that time... because when I first got cast, I was in another plane — I was certainly not having an in-body experience for months, so when I finally felt like I came back to myself, I tried to hold on to that," Ridley continued.
