Cyndi Lauper headlined her annual Home For The Holidays charity show at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Saturday (December 3) night, which benefits the True Colors Fund’s efforts to combat homelessness among LGBT youth. Among the highlights: Billy Corgan tearing through three numbers — including a cover of Skeeter Davis’ “The End Of The World,” an acoustic rendition of “Silver Bells” and a spirited pair-up with Lauper on the Crystals’ “There’s No Other Like My Baby” — and Grace VanderWaal’s “True Colors” duet with Cyndi at the end of the night.

One of 2016’s biggest pop culture surprises came in a tiny package: America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal. The 12-year-old singer-songwriter-ukulele player’s first appearance on the show impressed the judges — even earning her a Taylor Swift comparison from Simon Cowell — and wound up one of the most popular YouTube videos of the year. And now she’s ready to sing for us again and help us get into the holiday spirit. In this exclusive clip from the America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular, VanderWaal brings her unique sound to “Frosty the Snowman.” She’s accompanied by a chorus of children, but there’s no question who the star is. player.theplatform.com/p/NnzsPC/widget/select/media/guid/2410887629/3437162?form=html

Shawn Mendes may have dropped a brand-new cover of Drake's "Fake Love" yesterday (Dec. 6), but that's not the only thing the pop star been working on. He just teamed up with none other than America's Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal for their own duet of his hit single "Treat You Better."
What's most impressive about it was that they recorded the clip on their phones (we're getting major Vine vibes right now). Can you imagine FaceTiming a collab with Shawn? Grace already got a guitar from the Canadian crooner, so this seems like a perfect clip. Though Grace didn't strum along to this clip, she offered a harmony to the song that will make you want to play their rendition on a loop.

America's Got Talent champion Grace VanderWaal has plenty of experience singing for millions of TV viewers and playing her ukulele before hundreds of adoring fans. But the 12-year-old songwriting phenom recently got a taste of what it really means to be a recording artist this fall: She worked with a producer on her first EP, Perfectly Imperfect. "I never really understood how you made a song, because I never really thought about it," the Suffern, N.Y., native, who sang for a three-day sold-out headlining Las Vegas show in October and is performing at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, says. "But it was really cool to see the process. It was like watching your baby grow."
