Russia claims a big win at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Ukraine. This comes after the UN court rejected Kyiv's claim to recognise Russia as an "aggressor state."
The ICJ also refused to tag the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) as terror groups. Russia has welcomed the UN court's order amid a raging conflict with Ukraine. Kyiv had accused Moscow of being a ‘terrorist’ state at the World Court. However, the ICJ tossed out most of Ukraine’s pleas against Russia in a big judgement.

The UN's highest court - The International Court of Justice (ICJ) - is set to rule whether it has jurisdiction to preside over a case brought by Ukraine accusing Russia of violating international law by using a false accusation of genocide as the pretext for its 2022 invasion.
Ukraine argues Russia breached the 1948 Genocide Convention by wrongly claiming Ukraine was committing genocide against Russian-speaking people in the country. Russia has ignored an order by the ICJ to stop hostilities and requested the court toss out the complaint.
