The tiny European nation of Slovenia is undergoing a tourism boom partly because it's the native country of U.S. first lady Melania Trump. The Slovenian Statistics Office said Monday that some 1,939,000 tourists visited the Alpine country of 2 million in the first half of this year, a 15 percent increase from the same period last year. Analyzing the impact of the Slovenian-born first lady on the tourism growth, the statistics office said the number of U.S. visitors has risen 15 percent since Donald Trump took office in January.

After Hurricane Harvey devastated the Gulf Coast, leaving as many as 10 dead and stranding residents in floodwaters, President Trump is set to visit Texas to check on disaster relief. President Trump was visiting Texas to receive briefings on the relief efforts in Corpus Christi, and later meet with state officials at the emergency operations center in Austin. (Houston, the city that was one of the hardest hit, was deemed too risky at this point.) Trump is going to check on how the federal government is helping the recovery effort, and brought along Melania as well as other White House officials. The billboards were advertisements for the English language school Američki Institut, but images Tuesday showed the signs blank.
