And yes, we found similar styles. Hey, remember pants? After a summer full of shorts and dresses (and, of course, months of staying home) we've slowly been welcoming back this good ol' wardrobe staple. And, perhaps there's no one better to serve as a source of outfit inspiration than Kate Middleton, who wore slim-leg pink slacks on the first day of fall. Kate looked cool and casual as she met up with a group of parents at London Park on Tuesday, hoping to hear more about the challenges they've faced throughout the pandemic. Instead of opting for her typical shifts and suits, she found a laid-back balance — and, once again, seemed to channel Princess Diana. Paired with white Superga sneakers and a white top, Kate's pink Marks & Spencer bottoms (which were actually a rewear) managed to really pop and instantly reminded us of a style that Diana wore back in the '80s.

If any of you were a member of a scouting organisation growing up you'll surely remember your Barn Owls from your Tawny Owls. For me, being a Brownie was a right of passage. Whether there was any need for me to learn how to make a fire when I lived in suburban Croydon was besides the point. My Sister was a Brownie, my Mother was a Brownie and therefore the tradition must continue. Thus I was initiated into the yellow and brown uniform one evening, next to the fake toadstool and tin foil pond. Beaver, Cub, Brownie, or Guide, the one thing we can all agree on is that the world of culottes is not a glamorous one. That is until Kate Middleton herself became joint president of the Scout Association and rocked up with the most glam of blow-drys to toast some marshmallows on the fire pit. Yes, you heard that right, she even had a neckerchief, although I couldn't help but notice she was missing the all-important woggle. In case you missed it, we're currently obsessed with Kate's hair (all over again) after she added some beautiful halo highlights. Never one to have a bad hair day, Kate had possibly her best blow dry to date for her day of Scouting.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have spoken to local business owners and first responders from Kangaroo Island, South Australia, to hear more about the impact of the wildfires which struck the island in January. A group of Kangaroo Islanders who spoke to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge about last summer's devastating bushfires have finally been allowed to speak about the experience after initially being sworn to secrecy. The South Australians, a mix of emergency service personnel, local business owners, and animal welfare warriors, spoke with Prince William and Kate last Friday in a call organised by the palace. "Fantastic to hear the community spirit once again down in Australia as always, which is what Catherine and I see when we come down there, you always feel the community spirit," Prince William said. For Country Fire Service volunteer Michael Swayne, the memories of the horrors he faced are still raw. He told the royal couple he'd never seen weather like last summer's in 20 years of firefighting.

Kate Middleton has shared a series of touching photos of contributors to her lockdown photography project Hold Still posing beside their portraits. The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, launched the community project in May and invited people of all ages from across the UK to submit a photographic portrait which they had taken during lockdown. Last week the top 100 images went on show in 80 towns, cities and areas across the country. Posting on the Kensington Royal Instagram this morning, Kate shared six snaps taken by contributors and enthusiastic members of the public posing beside portraits from the exhibition.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are lucky enough to own two properties with their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace is their main base, and while they made their second home at Anmer Hall their home during the first UK lockdown period, this time, they will be staying in London so that the children can attend school during the month. The property is a four-storey apartment with 20 rooms including five reception rooms, three main bedrooms, dressing rooms, a night and day nursery, and staff quarters. It was previously home to Princess Margaret. Take a look inside… The Duke and Duchess hosted a special event at the Palace in early October for BBC Radio 1's Teen Heroes of 2019, along with Camilla Cabello and DJs Clara Amfo and Greg James. Photos taken showed a drawing room with grand ceilings and patterned carpets. In a post discussing the importance of mental health during self-isolation, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared photos of their home offices in Kensington Palace, and Kate's revealed a collection of Penguin Clothbound Classics. The books, which are stacked in a row on her desk, retail at £11 each. As for the rest of the area, Kate has a large wooden desk, and a striped chair with wooden framing. Prince William's home working space has a similar large, wooden desk to Kate's. He also has an antique-style desk lamp, and an additional chest of drawers in a lighter, chestnut wood with a white printer on top. Behind him, there is a large fireplace and mirror. The Duke and Duchess shared a glimpse inside their London residence when they hosted Michelle and Barack Obama in 2016. Prince William and Kate hosted the former US president in the drawing room of their home, which has a sophisticated cream colour scheme, with gold accents and pretty floral prints.
