John Mayer 'isn't bothered' that his music will never sell as much as ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's - but yet admits he does get jealous of artists as big as her. In an interview on the Today show, the singer said Swift was 'really cool' for standing up for artists and pulling her music from Spotify, but added the only reason they were talking about Taylor Swift taking on the music streaming site was because it was Taylor Swift. 'There's only like 2% of the music industry has 80% of the media about it. There’s like four people who get all the press,' he said.  'There are going to be times when I make music as popular or empirically valuable as [Swift’s] in terms of making pop music that won’t sell as many copies and I’m fine with that. 'Look, if I save a baby from a burning building and Kanye saves a baby from a burning building, there's more Google news hits on Kanye. I'm fine with it. When asked if things like that annoyed him he replied 'nothing bothers me any more'... yet he later admitted he gets frustrated when people don't recognize him at the airport.  'The greatest moment for me was giving up the big fight to be this thing that gets off the airplane at LAX and floats through… and I have a lot of admiration and envy sometimes for people that large,' he said. But Taylor Swift was happy to risk cuts and scratches to her pricey assets on a hike with a male pal on an overgrown trail in Solstice Canyon above Malibu, California, on Thursday. With temperatures at the seaside locale hitting a high of 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the 5ft 10ins singer kept cool in a black T-shirt and a tiny pair of red shorts, exposing her pins to the Poison Oak and prickly bushes on either side of the narrow path.  The 25-year-old, who was wearing black Nike sneakers, left her blonde hair down to frame her make-up free face and protected her eyes from the bright sunlight with a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers. At one point Taylor even ran down some rough-hewn steps to get her heart rate going, risking a nasty fall. Her male friend, who may have been a member of her security team, was dressed in long baggy shorts and a black T-shirt.  And the Shake It Off star surprised a group on the trail when she walked past them. The news about the seven-time Grammy winner's valuable legs was reported by the National Enquirer on Monday. 'It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if anything happened to her legs, Taylor wouldn’t be able to give her dynamic, signature stage performances,' a source told the newspaper. 'She wants it all sorted out before her world tour starts in May.'  While the "Shake it Off" singer's legs might be pretty important to her these days, nothing comes close to her relationships with her gal-pals. She recently opened up to The Telegraph about how much her friendships mean to her and why she's finally content with where she's at in life. "The thing about my girlfriends right now is that none of them needs me for anything other than friendship," she said. "I love the fact that they are all passionate about their jobs, whatever their jobs are." She added, "A lot of celebrity-type people have this group of people around them where their friends' main priority is them, and they feel comfortable with that dynamic. Gone too soon. A young girl named Jalene Salinas, who became famous for a sweet final moment she had with Taylor Swift, has reportedly passed away at the age of 4. According to local Texas news outlets, the little girl died on Sunday, March 15, after her tragic battle with terminal brain cancer. The late Texan had her brush with Swift earlier this month as she checked the final items off of her bucket list.  Just weeks before her untimely death, Salinas got the chance to FaceTime with the pop star, 25. The hashtag #ShakeItOffJalene took off on Twitter once supporters learned that one of the little girl’s last wishes was to dance with Swift to her hit single "Shake It Off." The social media campaign got the attention of the Grammy winner, who took the time to spend 20 minutes on the phone with the ailing child. "I'm so sorry you're having a bad night, I'm so happy to talk to you though and I'm so happy you like ‘Shake it Off'" Swift said in her taped conversation with Salinas, who was in pain at the time of the chat. "You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You're just as pretty as your pictures."  "On March 15, 2015, Jalene gained her beautiful angel wings," a statement on the Facebook page reads. "She fought all the way to the end. She beat Cancer defying the hours and days we were told. She went to be with our Lord in his time. Jalene was a true princess... [and she] loved her siblings and at the end she was waiting for her little brother to say goodbye before taking her last breath." "Thank you for being a part of her journey," the statement continued. "This is not over because Jalene Will live on in the heart of everyone. We will continue to spread her kind hearted nature. Her ability to care for others.
