It takes an incredible amount of gall to not only (allegedly) grope one of the most powerful women in pop music, but to then sue her when she calls you on it. That's the course of action DJ David Mueller, formerly of Denver radio station KYGO-FM, took when Taylor Swift (via a member of her security team) accused him of "lifting Swift’s skirt with his hand and touching her bottom" during a meet-and-greet before a 2013 concert. Mueller was fired shortly after the event. He filed a suit against Swift this September — more than two years after his termination — in what he claims is a case of mistaken identity that cost him his job and future business opportunities. But Swift has fired back with a countersuit that calls bullshit on Mueller's claim and alleges that his actions constitute assault. In documents filed with US District Court in Colorado, Swift's attorneys write, "Mueller’s newfound claim that he is the ‘wrong guy’ and, therefore, his termination from KYGO was unjustified, is specious ... Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault — it was Mueller." The suit goes into further detail regarding Mueller's claims, and highlights, among other things, the physical differences between him and Swift ("Mueller is approximately 6’3″ tall and weighed over 200 pounds at the time he inappropriately put his open hand on Ms. Swift’s bottom and groped it. He was much larger than Ms. Swift.") and the DJ's troubled employment history (Mueller "was twice terminated from on-air radio positions he held with other radio stations"). Swift is not backing down in the face of Mueller's "it wasn't me" defense, asking in the lawsuit for a jury trial; she intends to donate any profits from awarded damages to organizations "dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard."

Kendall Jenner celebrated her 20th birthday with a who's who of A-listers — but her good pal Taylor Swift was not one of them, despite being photographed just a few blocks away. As the supermodel kicked off her 20s by wearing a sexy, plunging jumpsuit to her party at a Los Angeles club Monday night, the “Shake It Off” singer skipped the bash to dine at a nearby restaurant. The singer was spotted exiting the eatery The Little Door, which is located close to The Nice Guy, where Jenner was celebrating with her famous family and friends. Swift’s no-show at Jenner’s birthday party was notable since the two run in the same circles, with the reality star even flying to London to attend the "Red" singer's concert there in June.

Taylor Swift may have gotten all the glory this year, but rival Katy Perry got more of the money, says Forbes magazine. Not that Swift, 25, ended up destitute, of course. She earned $80 million between June 2014 and June 2015, according to Forbes' calculations, released Wednesday. But Perry, 31, took in $135 million, thanks to a world tour, a slew of hits and lucrative deals with major companies happy to hand over millions for Perry's endorsements of their products, the magazine says. Formerly pals, now turned frenemies, Perry and Swift have had their disagreements this year.

When Taylor Adam Swift was born 30 years ago, the phenomenon that would be Taylor Alison Swift was little more than a glint in her parents' eyes. Unfortunately for the blond (and male) photographer from Seattle, however, the other Taylor Swift across the country eventually grew up to be a chart-topping pop star who hijacked his name during her meteoric rise to fame. "After the [2009] MTV Video Music Awards — that's when she really started to get quite famous," Swift, the man, told Newsweek in 2014. "It became obvious for me in how it affected my day-to-day life. I still have a little box of fan letters." Today, his photography website is buried in Google search, he's constantly inundated by fan mail, and being carded or buying a Starbucks coffee never ceases to draw a crowd. But he still manages to look on the bright side. "It's a great confidence booster," Swift told Fox29. "It's like endless amounts of, 'You're beautiful, you're so talented, you're a great role model, you have a beautiful voice,' and here I am just like, 'Oh, thank you!'"

Pop star Taylor Swift has settled a legal disagreement with a US clothing company over her use of its Lucky 13 name, reports have said. Blue Sphere accused Swift of copyright infringement after she branded some of her products, such as t-shirts, with the same phrase. Legal papers were filed in 2014 and a trial date had been set for January 2016, prior to the settlement being reached. US clothing firm Blue Sphere claimed in May last year that the pop star had began marketing and selling her own clothing line bearing the Lucky 13 phrase and a shamrock. It also said she had used it in a "Lucky 13" sweepstake deal made with a greeting card company, said Hollywood Reporter. She has famously said in the past that 13 is her "lucky" number. Representatives for both sides said they had made an undisclosed settlement out of court on Friday.
