English singer Courtney Hadwin was working nonstop on original music in the studio, when one day, she decided to pause to film and release a string of cover videos. You can hear the first one -- a soulful, rock-tinged cover of Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times" -- exclusively via Billboard today (July 11). Rocking a grey suit that Styles himself would definitely approve of, Hadwin slows things down with just an electric keyboard and guitar. The guitarist uses a slide to give the rendition a slight twang while still letting Hadwin's rich vocals shine. At the end, she channels her inner rockstar and belts her roaring heart out. "I'm in the studio recording [but] taking our time, as we want to get it right and make sure the songs are authentic to me," Hadwin, 15, tells Billboard. "So in the meantime, I've put my own spin on some of my favourite songs that are more current and out of the scope of what I'd normally sing to share with all of you. I chose 'Sign of the Times' because it shows a softer side to my voice." Hadwin made a buzz in the industry after her season 13 audition on America's Got Talent, which immediately went viral and earned nearly 300 million views across YouTube and Facebook. Hadwin is currently in the studio working on her forthcoming album.

Courtney Hadwin knocked the socks off the America's Got Talent judges last year, and now, the 15-year-old singer is back with a new performance that would definitely earn her another golden buzzer. The English teen released an eccentric cover of the Jonas Brothers' hit song "Sucker" on her YouTube channel, and honestly, we can hardly even call it a cover because she truly made the track all her own. Courtney put her signature Janis Joplin-esque vibe on display, using her raw, powerhouse voice to give the pop tune an edgy rock spin. If you're craving more of Courtney's one-of-a-kind vocals, you're in luck, because she's currently recording her first album. To tide you over until the album's release, may we suggest listening to her stripped-down cover of Harry Styles's "Sign of the Times" on repeat in the meantime?

Courtney Hadwin has snatched all our wigs with her cover of Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved. The 15-year-old – who became a huge name thanks to her stint on America’s Got Talent two years ago – put her own spin on the ballad as part of her covers series. Swapping the Got Talent stage for a tiny room, the singer proved she can belt it out like the best of them. And, after hearing her cover, we’re now desperate for a Courtney x Lewis collab – and the teenager would definitely be keen. Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk about the performance, she told us: ‘Lewis is such a talented writer and has an amazing voice that immediately drags you in! [He has a] super great personality too as a bonus. ‘If the phone rang tomorrow and he asked me I’d tell him I needed some time to think about it,’ she joked. http://instagram.com/p/B1bdx2HFkEn

“Old Town Road” isn’t getting tired anytime soon; English singer Courtney Hadwin released her version of the longest-running No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 today (Sept. 19). Hadwin -- clad in a swanky multi-colored leopard-print shirt -- howls, “Hat down, cross town, livin' like a rockstar / Spent a lot of money on my brand new guitar” in the cover. Her soulful dance moves look like they could be cut from an Otis Redding performance, as she jams out with her two-man guitar and Cajon band. The fan-favorite from season 13 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent says she was taken by the track when current Billboard cover star Lil Nas X first released it Dec. 2018. “I found ‘Old Town Road’ soon after it was released, and I knew I had to cover it my own way. I had this other version stuck in my head and I wanted to get it out there for everyone to hear,” the 15-year-old singer said in a press release. “It was so much fun putting my own spin. Nit and now it’s probably one of my favourite covers that I’ve done.”
