A private funeral service will be held for the "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin at Detroit's Greater Grace Temple. It's expected to be a five-hour event, featuring performances by Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Holliday, Fantasia, Ron Isley, Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams and Shirley Caesar. Starting about 50 minutes later than scheduled after a cavalcade of fans, celebrities, elected officials and religious leaders filed inside the sanctuary, the funeral for the legendary Queen of Soul is underway at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. The star-studded service — featuring speeches and musical tributes to Aretha Franklin by such luminaries as Stevie Wonder, former President Bill Clinton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, singers Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and Faith Hill, Motown great Smokey Robinson, former Piston Isiah Thomas and others — follows a week-long celebration of Franklin's life and musical career, including three days of public viewings that drew thousands from her hometown, Michigan and a multitude of states beyond.

A WWHL caller asks singer Mariah Carey what it was like to perform with the late Aretha Franklin during “Divas Live” and Mariah says she was intimated, choosing to stay in the background. Mariah Carey stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Monday (Nov. 19) to chat with host Andy Cohen about her upcoming Caution tour, her relationship with the late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, her dream collaborations and even a special Glitter medley for her beloved fans after an unexpected album revival. Adele recently praises MiMi, and Cohen asked her what were her thoughts on the Brit singer saying Carey "deserves to be in the Bible" for being so epic. "I think you two should do something together," the host suggested. Although Carey loves Adele, she has a different collaboration in mind. "I would love to make a collaboration with Cardi B happen. I also love Lil Kim -- I was hoping the three of us could do something. But if nobody puts it together, it's not going to happen," she explained. On another call, a fan asked the 48-year-old what about her favorite memory performing with Aretha Franklin, and to describe their relationship. "We saw each other many times and talked a lot but that Divas performance was the only time we performed together," the singer shared, adding that she felt very intimidated at the time and wanted to be by the backing singers. "That's the Queen of Soul and that's what you do. She was just so real. She came to me and she was like 'They're playing games, Mariah and I'm not playing these games!' We never really rehearsed too, we just did in her trailer...but I don't want to tell the whole story because I'm working on my memoir!" the singer said. "But she went so far beyond what I imagine she would be like. God bless her."
