Singer Ellie Goulding has taken the charity ice bucket challenge to a whole new level by daring British royal Prince Harry to take part. The "Lights" hitmaker has a connection to the heir after singing at his brother Prince William's wedding to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in 2011, and she hopes to convince him to join celebrities all over the world who have taken the plunge for the ALS Association. Goulding reveals her manager turned down the challenge following her nomination, so she has called out Prince Harry to take his place. In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, "So my manager isn't going to do the ice challenge (but donate) so I renominate Prince Harry. Who told me with enough peer pressure..." The challenge is raising money to battle ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease and motor neurone disease. Harry has a personal connection to the cause as his aunt, Anne, Princess Royal, is a patron of Britain's Motor Neurone Disease Association. Stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have all doused themselves in ice water over the last few days to raise money for the charity.

Royal watchers are keen to see if Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will be among those taking on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. While the fundraising activity has already seen celebrities including Oprah, Justin Bieber and Gwyneth Paltrow shower themselves with ice cold water, it could now be the turn of some of Europe's royals. Prince Harry has racked up three nominations for the challenge from singer Ellie Goulding, actress Lindsay Lohan and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. "So my manager isn't going to do the ice challenge (but [will] donate)," tweeted Ellie. "So I renominate Prince Harry. Who told me with enough peer pressure..." Harry's cousin Princess Beatrice received her nomination from Czech model and former Victoria's Secret Angel Karolina Kurkova, who also tagged Richard Branson, Gayle King and Beatrice's boyfriend Dave Clark. Queen Elizabeth II herself has had two nominations. "I'd like to nominate the queen of England," declared Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick before having a bucket of ice tipped over his head, while Australian Rules Football player Brad Ebert, whose grandmother suffers from motor neurone disease, also nominated Britain's monarch. "We're going big here, but hopefully we can get some support," he said on behalf of Port Adelaide Football Club after they had all undertaken the challenge. "We pick the Queen."

For party-going Prince Harry, his 30th birthday party was always going to be a night to remember. And the Duchess of Cambridge is planning an event he will likely never forget by turning one room of Kensington Palace into a nightclub with the help of Guy Pelly - the owner of London hotspot Tonteria. However the guest list may raise a few eyebrows, as Kate is believed to have invited two of Harry's ex-girlfriends, Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy, to the celebration on September 15. And once there they may well bump into Camilla Thurlow, who the Prince was spotted kissing last month, as she is also thought to have been invited. Kate and Mr Pelly, 32, are said to be inviting a cocktail mixologist and sexy dancers along to the palace to complete their nightclub theme. Mr Pelly has plenty of experince organising high-end parties. His current nightclub in Sloane Square features latex-clad dancers, £28,000 bottles of champagne, and a toy train suspended from the ceiling which delivers tequila shots to tables. Prince Harry is said to be a regular visitor, getting in through a secret entrance from Sloane Square Hotel to void the press, and was once spotted at the club on three occasions in one week. In fact it was at Tonteria, in July this year, that Harry was spotted 'in a clinch' with Miss Thurlow, 25, a former Miss Edinburgh who is also thought to be invited to his birthday party. The pair apparently had 'a few drinks' and kissed in front of friends at the Mexican bar, though friends played down the relationship, saying it was just a case of two young people having fun. The pair met through the Halo Trust, where Miss Thurlow works as a project officer in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Trust is a mine clearance charity with which Diana, Princess of Wales, was heavily involved. Prince Harry has a new girlfriend, and she looks eerily like Kate Middleton. But when all’s said and done, Camilla Thurlow seems a lot more suited to royal life than Harry’s recent girlfriends, including movie-star wannabe Cressida Bonas and party girl extraordinaire, Chelsy Davy. Harry does have his 30th birthday party coming up, which we know will be a big deal for the royals. There are already reports suggesting that Kate Middleton is planning a bash at Kensington Palace for the big event, which means that it might end up becoming a stodgy and staid affair instead of the craziness that usually surrounds Harry. But that also means that it’ll be a palace-approved event, which indicates that every guest at the party will have to be pre-approved by Queen Elizabeth and her minions. Harry probably won’t be allowed to bring any of his crazy party buddies, and even if he does, they’re not going to be able to fly off the hook and party like they want to. However, it does mean that there’s a high chance of Harry bringing Camilla Thurlow to the party. IF Harry does bring Camilla to Kensington Palace, then expect the engagement and wedding rumors to start in earnest. After all, the palace isn’t a place that you bring a casual date to, especially with the Queen in attendance. Harry bringing Camilla to the palace would show everyone that he’s serious about her, including his own family. And that means that the wedding bells are going to start ringing soon after.

The 29-year-old royal, who broke up with ex Cressida Bonas back in April, is currently on a romantic getaway with Thurlow in St. Tropez in the South of France. The cuties have been staying at a friend's luxury villa and have barely left the premises while on vacation, a source tells E! News. Instead of going out to clubs or restaurants, the lovebirds have been spending every minute together by the pool and out of the eyes of the prying paparazzi. "They've been talking until late into the night and having one of those magical times that you have when you first fall in love and want to find out everything you can about the other person," the source says. "Harry's had no interest whatsoever in going out and just wants to focus on Camilla without any distractions." Harry and Camilla first started dating about six weeks ago and have bonded over her job as a charity worker. "Camilla's the full package—she's got beauty and brains," the royal insider dishes. "But Harry loves how she's devoted her life to charity—she's fully committed to helping other people and he sees a lot of his mother Diana's goodness in her." Harry "sees Camilla as much more than a fling," says the source. "This was supposed to be Harry's last summer of fun before he turned 30 and got serious and settled down," they added. "The second he decided he'd spend July and August partying and being young, carefree and single while he still could be he was introduced to Camilla by his cousin Princess Beatrice and his crazy party plans went out of the window and all of a sudden he's acting like a contented married man. It's a great sign—it shows how mature he is now and that he realizes when he finds happiness to not let go of it and to nurture it." After he unwinds, the young royal may be considering what's ahead for him in his personal life. A third source tells Us Weekly that Harry "is keen to settle down" and "thinking about what he wants in life." This reflective period follows Harry's split from longtime girlfriend Cressida Bonas this past April. Now, his goals could include a future with Thurlow, who is a former Miss Edinburgh and works as a projects officer for The Halo Trust, a UK nonprofit which was once a project close to the heart of Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

Carole and Michael Middleton’s Party Pieces website is flogging gear to celebrate the Paralympic-style event. It urges people to throw an Invictus Games party to welcome in the sporting showcase at London’s Olympic Park next month. Up for grabs on the site are streamers, coloured wigs and novelty glasses, alongside advice on how to mark the four-day competition. The website says: “To celebrate the inaugural Invictus Games for wounded ex-servicemen and women next month, throw a sporting heroes party. It recommends tying up multi-country bunting around the house and urges: “Organise events in keeping with the track and field athletics, such as long jump, high jump and running races in your garden for family and friends to burn some energy between watching their favourite events on TV.” The firm, run by Carole, 59, and Michael, 65, also cashed in on the loom band craze after Prince William and Kate, both 32, were spotted wearing the elastic bracelet. Prince Harry, 29, was instrumental in bringing the games to the UK. He said it will have a “long lasting impact on the well-being of those who have served their nations so bravely.” More than 300 servicemen and women from 13 nations will compete in eight Paralympic type sports starting on September 10. Last night the Middletons were unavailable for comment. Locog asks the Middleton family to change parts of the Party Pieces website after an it took issue with the promotion of goods associated with the Games.
