In the center of the Venn diagram made up of "classy actresses" and "people with a strong connection to the royal family" sit only a handful of people. Dame Helen Mirren and Meghan Markle are two of them. Meghan's connection to the royal family is clear (you know, since she's officially in it and all), but if you need a refresher on Mirren's, think back to 2006. That's the year Mirren starred as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, a performance that earned her both a Best Actress Oscar and the personal praise of the real Elizabeth. In fact, the royal family liked the film so much, that Prince Harry has even referred to Mirren as "Granny." "Prince Charles is very, very tactful," she told the hosts of Good Morning Britain on Thursday of her relationship with the royal family since playing its matriarch. "Harry and William have mentioned it to me and have been very funny and very cool about it...I think Harry once said, when I was at an awards ceremony, he said, 'And Granny is here.'" Given her easy rapport with the royals, it's not surprising that, while they were on the subject, the Good Morning Britain hosts took the opportunity to ask Mirren about her surrogate granddaughter-in-law and fellow thespian, Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Prince William have chosen to separate their royal household in the coming weeks, the Sunday Times is reporting. The royal brothers are expected to make a formal split of their royal household in order to introduce separate courts ahead of the birth of Prince Harry's child—his wife Meghan Markle is due this spring. The Times claims that a written and formal separation of house, which includes a separation of staff, comes as result of Prince Harry and Prince William's increasingly different responsibilities as royals. The outlet also suggests the split could "help ease the reported tensions between the brothers and their wives,"—although this is merely speculation. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been living at Nottingham Cottage on the Kensington Palace grounds—where Kate Middleton and Prince William live with their three children. But it's been known for some time now that the two have plans to move into Frogmore Cottage, away from all of the royal comings and goings at Kensington.

Today in royal baby updates, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are (apparently) doing things differently and sending their future child to an American school in England. Which, to be clear, is a major break in royal protocol! Per E!, Meghan and Harry are considering a private co-ed school called ACS Egham International in Surrey. ACS stands for American Community School, and a source says that Meghan and Harry "are thought to want a more diverse education for their child," and that "Meghan is also keen for her child to be fully aware of his or her American heritage." Turns out this place is super close to Meghan and Harry's new home on the Frogmore estate, so it couldn't be more convenient! Buuuuuut this also means that the royal baby won't be attending school with his cousins in London. Me RN: 😱

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can’t hide their excitement about their upcoming arrival!
During the second day of their three-day visit to Morocco, the couple, who are expecting their first child in April, traveled to the Atlas Mountains to visit a boarding school for girls. During the stay, Meghan received a special henna tattoo to mark her seven months of pregnancy.
The expectant couple kept close during their visit, holding hands and sharing several sweet moments during their busy engagement. At one point, Meghan sweetly rested her head on Harry’s shoulder as he flashed a big smile.

Prince Harry has been through a lot in his life. Losing his mother at a young age, plus always being in the spotlight, hasn’t been easy on the charming prince. And Harry lashed out a bit during his younger years. Although Harry has always seemed like a fun-loving guy, he struggled with some emotional issues a few years back. Here’s why he finally agreed to get help. Although being a prince may sound like the perfect life on paper, things were not easy for Harry and his brother. Their mother, Princess Diana, died in a car accident in 1997, when Harry was only 12. At the time, Diana and Charles had only been about a year out of their divorce, which made the children’s lives tumultuous enough at the time. Harry and William weren’t happy with their father’s affair and spent a lot of time with their mother. When Diana died unexpectedly, it rocked Harry’s world. Harry has never liked being in the public eye. And he has said several times that what he endured as a child is something no other kid should have to go through. “My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television,” he once said in an interview with Newsweek. “I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.” Those close to Harry have even said he and Meghan Markle are raising their children on the grounds of Windsor Castle to keep them out of the intense spotlight.
