MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been pictured boarding a private jet with son Archie Harrison in the South of France – their fourth gas-guzzling flight in just 11 days. The snaps of the Duke and Duchess, who had been enjoying a summer holiday at Sir Elton John's palatial £15million pad, were taken as they returned to England at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Harry is easing back into his public duties following the summer break with an appearance at a sporting event. The Duke of Sussex watched St Helens compete against the Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium, London, for the Rugby Football League Challenge Cup Final this weekend. Fans were particularly excited to see Harry take to the pitch and shake hands with players, children, and mascots.

When Prince William, Middleton, and their children were seen taking a budget plane for their recent travels from Norwich to Aberdeen, many believed it was done to make Prince Harry and Markle look bad. E! News royal commentator Melanie Bromley questioned the Cambridges’ decision to take a commercial flight days after the Sussexes used private jets, sharing, “They had to get a commercial flight while the whole week has been about Harry and Meghan taking four private jet flights in a week.” She continued, explaining, “It’s like — come on William and Kate. I get it, they are going to Scotland to spend the summer with the Queen. But of all the weeks to be pictured on your commercial flight, your $73 budget airline, it had to be this week?” http://instagram.com/p/BzlIEY9Fr00 Bromley added: “Could you not, just for once, have taken a private jet this week so that Harry and Meghan do not look bad? Isn’t that fascinating?” There was no shade It turns out, things didn’t go down in a shady way at all, as royal reporter Chris Ship explained that, in reality, Prince William and Middleton couldn’t be throwing shade at the Sussexes because royal trips are planned months in advance.

Everyone needs a break from the daily grind of life, especially the hard-working royals. Recently, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry — self proclaimed environmentalists and sustainability advocates — traveled by private jet not only once or twice, but a staggering four times in less than two weeks. http://instagram.com/p/B188qScF07J According to Metro, the duke and duchess, along with Baby Archie, flew the friendly skies in luxury when they boarded a 12-seater private aircraft that is not exactly environmentally friendly. In fact, the private plane can emit as much as seven times the emission per person as compared to a much more eco-friendly commercial flight. The Sussexes preach about environmental issues It is because of how passionate Markle and Prince Harry claim to be regarding environmental issues that has left so many people calling them hypocritical. For years, they both have been involved in a number of causes, with Prince Harry going so far as to say that he and Markle would only have a “maximum” of two children in order to do their part to protect the environment. Prince Harry talks about issues such as climate change, and how terrifying the issue is as a new parent. Markle is involved in the same causes as her husband, and she is also a global ambassador for the children’s charity World Vision.

There's a reason Meghan Markle and Prince Harry don't have any royal engagements this week ahead of their royal tour of Africa next week: The two are in Italy for their friend Misha Nonoo's wedding to Michael Hess. The Sun's royal reporter Emily Andrews wrote on Twitter that she had been told the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Rome today. "Eagle Italian eyes tell me that Harry & Meghan were spotted arriving in Rome today for tomorrow’s wedding of the Duchess’ best mate Misha Nonoo to US oil tycoon Michael Hess. Misha, who helped introduce Harry to Meghan, collaborated on the highly successful #SmartSet collection," she wrote. "Archie was not with them—the Duke & Duchess of Sussex are enjoying a bit of down-time before their full-on royal tour of Africa which starts on Monday. They’ll fly to Cape Town then Harry will go to Botswana, Angola & Malawi before re-uniting with Archie & Meg in Jo’burg."
