When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May 2018, pretty much the entire world tuned in to watch their royal wedding. As excited as royal fans were about the whole affair, the most highly-anticipated moment of the whole event was probably the big reveal of Meghan's wedding gown. The always-stylish, always-classic Duchess of Sussex opted for a timeless, elegant, pure white gown designed by Clare Waight Keller, the artistic director of French fashion house Givenchy. The dress featured an open bateau neckline and three-quarter length sleeves and Meghan looked absolutely stunning in it. Here's a reminder, if you need a refresher: Perfection, right? Well, not everyone thought so, including, apparently, the Queen herself. Apparently, the monarch took issue with the color of the gown. "The Queen is said to have expressed surprise that Meghan, a divorcee, wore quite such a white dress for her wedding," a royal source told the Mail on Sunday.

Last month, Trin, a university student, revealed to BAZAAR.com, "#ArchieDay is [another effort], but this time it fell to me to organize it. I wanted to organize the fundraiser for Archie's first birthday, so I got a group of people from Twitter on a group chat and we made it happen."
She continued, "We never had a specific amount we hoped to hit. Ultimately, we hoped to simply help the charities and raise awareness for the projects people are conducting to help children through this pandemic."
Taking to her Twitter account, Trin revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex contacted her personally after reading her interview with BAZAAR.com. She wrote in part, "As you all know, we raised over $60k USD for charity in honor of Archie’s bday last months and through the interview I gave to [BAZAAR.com] Meghan and Harry were able to track me."
The success of #ArchiesDay was such that the Sussexes wanted to thank the initiative's organizer personally, as well as pass on their thanks to members of the Sussex Squad who got involved online.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are continuing their philanthropic efforts in the Los Angeles area. The couple quietly volunteered with the Homeboy Industries organization to prepare meals for food-insecure people across the city affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The nonprofit took to Instagram to share pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the kitchen alongside the team. The royals can be seen wearing protective face masks, hairnets, gloves and aprons for the cooking session. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are settling into life in Los Angeles, have signed on with the New York-based Harry Walker Agency for speaking engagements, according to a person familiar with their plans. The couple, whose professional interests and every move have been scrutinized, will be engaging in moderated discussions and keynote speeches with trade associations, corporations and community forums, said the person, who declined to be identified. They will focus on social issues such as racial justice (which the former Meghan Markle recently addressed with students from her L.A. alma mater), gender equity and environmental concerns. They will also speak on mental health; Prince Harry has shared his own struggles with grief and has championed emotional health initiatives and organizations in recent years.

Los Angeles seems to be offering Prince Harry an awful lot more freedom than his working royal life in the U.K. The latest example? Bystanders spotted him biking solo to Surfrider Beach in Malibu Tuesday, an opportunity it's hard to imagine him having in London (can you imagine the media frenzy?) "Harry was biking at Surfrider Beach aka First Point, where you see the surfers come in. He was alone, had a white biking outfit on with red and black and was, of course, wearing a helmet," an eyewitness told Hollywood Life. "It appeared he was going to surf because he stopped to check out the waves. Harry really seems to be enjoying the post-royal life and being a normal Cali dude!" According to the witness, Harry was completely alone—no bodyguards or security team in site. "He seemed totally at ease and normal," they said, adding that he was recognized by his red hair (ah, the curse of the gingers!)

It's time for Britain to confront its "uncomfortable" history as it relates to colonialism and racism, say Prince Harry and wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"There is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past," said Harry alongside his wife Meghan, during an online discussion published Monday evening with young Black leaders from across the British Commonwealth, which includes countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
The couple have spoken out on the issue of racism multiple times since the police killing of Black man George Floyd in May, which sparked global protests and soul-searching on issues of race.
The online meeting brought together young people from the Bahamas, U.K. and Australia in a conversation on fairness, justice and equal rights. It was partly a response to the growing Black Lives Matter movement, which began in the U.S. and has swept across the world.
"We're going to have to be a little uncomfortable right now, because it's only in pushing through that discomfort that we get to the other side of this," Harry's biracial American wife told the group.
Harry, Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, in 2016 issued a rare rebuke to the British press over a "wave of abuse" his then girlfriend, Meghan Markle was facing — calling out the "racial overtones" in tabloid stories. One commentator had written how Meghan would bring "rich and exotic DNA" to the Windsors.
