Charlotte Bouchard, 23, appeared in court this week to face Danny Arsenault, who is accused of sending her thousands of messages. The Canadian, whose sister Eugenie is a world famous tennis star, was in court for an hour giving evidence in relation to the harassments allegations, CTV Montreal reported. She reported 40-year-old Arsenault to the police in September 2017 before he was arrested in February 2018. Arsenault, who started sending Bouchard messages in 2014, has denied all charges against him. Verdun, from Montreal, Quebec, defended himself during the preliminary hearing but is not allowed to question Bouchard directly given the charges against him. A preliminary hearing was held to assess whether there is sufficient evidence to send Arsenault to trial. However, because the lead investigator could not testify, the preliminary hearing as been postponed until February 21. In the meantime, Arsenault has been bailed and ordered to undergo a psychological assessment.
