They will face strong opposition in the shape of last year's silver medallists, Team Skyliners from the United States, and a second Russian team, 2018 bronze medallists Team Crystal Ice Junior. Meanwhile Finland, winners of the first two versions of this Championship in 2013 and 2015, will be keen to get back onto the podium at the Neuchâtel Ice Arena through the efforts of Team Dream Edges Junior and Team Fintastic Junior. Other likely contenders include Canadian outfits Team Nexxice Junior and Les Supremes Junior.

Russia's Team Junost Junior exchanged silver for the gold medal on the second day of the the International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Neuchâtel in Switzerland to secure their third title.
Russian rivals Team Crystal Ice Junior, the 2018 bronze medallists, had topped yesterday's short programme standings, carrying a lead of 2.98 points over Team Junost into today’s concluding free skating at the Patinoire du Littoral venue.
But an inspired display from the defending champions at the Patinoire du Littoral venue saw them win the second day’s competition with 124.28 points, ahead of Team Crystal on 120.55, thus taking the overall title with 200.74.
Team Crystal were second with 199.99 points.
