The Ice Cream truck is pulling over in a few hours. BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's new collab, titled Ice Cream, is arriving soon but before they drop the single, they released the D Day poster. Over the past few days, the ladies have been teasing the collab with posters, teaser video and even shared a short clip of the members and the singer's video call. Now that the music video's countdown has begun, the poster sees Selena, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé.
In the new poster, Selena is seen sporting a bright polka-dot front knot top, which was seen during one of her recent Instagram post, while Jennie gives us a better look at her pink floral knitted cardigan. Jisoo channelled the retro vibe in a colourful knitted sweater along with a matching mesh skirt, Lisa sported a colourful faux fur jacket while Rose stunned in a gorgeous, must-have green crop top.
Check out the D-day poster below:
Talking to Marie Claire Korea, via Soompi, the Jisoo opened up about the collaboration. She said, "We weren’t able to meet in person. We each adjusted our schedules and communicated numerous times to finish the project." Jisoo was all praises for Gomez's down-to-earth personality. "I thought she was such a refreshing and cool person after seeing her share her opinions in an easygoing manner even though she’s a global star," Jisoo added.
Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK released a new song this week called "Ice Cream," and Ariana Grande gave Gomez a very appropriate gift to celebrate. Grande, who co-wrote the lyrics along with Gomez, Victoria Monét, Teddy Park, Bekuh BOOM, and producers Tommy Brown and Steve Franks, sent Gomez a giant flower arrangement shaped like an ice cream cone.
"OBSESSED," Gomez wrote as the caption of the photo on her story. "Thank you so much for everything. Your support means the world," she wrote on another photo.
Gomez's Instagram post has been home to tributes to her new song this week. She also shared this car decor:
Selena Gomez kicked off her weekend with an inside look at the making of her sweet new "Ice Cream" video with Blackpink.
"Blackpink, they're very known for their videos and they're known for their personalities, so I felt like I got to step into their world a little bit," she said from the set in Los Angeles, where she was fanning herself off on a very hot day.
Blackpink and Selena Gomez's "Ice Cream" has topped this week's new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Aug. 28) on Billboard, choosing the highly-anticipated collaboration between the K-pop girl group and pop superstar as their favorite new music release from the past week.
"Ice Cream" brought in nearly 72% of the vote this week, beating out new music by Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber ("Falling for You"), Dua Lipa and Gwen Stefani ("Physical" -- Mark Ronson remix), Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj ("Expensive") and others.
"Ice Cream" is the second pre-release single off Blackpink's long-awaited debut album, Blackpink: The Album, which is scheduled for release on Oct. 2 through YG Entertainment.
If you've been jamming all weekend to BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s “Ice Cream” you're definitely not alone — Ariana Grande is just as excited about the track's release.
According to some pics snapped and shared to Selena’s IG story, Ari sent the singer a gigantic floral arrangement from J'Adore Les Fleurs in the shape of — you guessed it! — an ice cream cone. The surprise gift featured perfectly placed pastel pink and white roses, looking exactly like a scoop of strawberry and vanilla. “Obsessed,” Selena wrote over a pic of the flowers. We are equally obsessed!
Of course, Ariana had to sign her present, which was accompanied by a sweet note. “Congratulations ice queen!” the “Rain on Me” singer wrote, signing off with the words “Love & Gratitude.” Ari worked behind the scenes on the track as one of the songwriters, along with Selena, Victoria Monét, Teddy Park, Tommy Brown, and Bekuh BOOM.
