Blackpink scores a new career-best rank on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, as "Ice Cream," with Selena Gomez, debuts at No. 13.
As previously reported, BTS' "Dynamite" spends a second week at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Sept. 12) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Sept. 9, a day later than usual due to the Labor Day holiday in the U.S. yesterday). For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.
Released Aug. 28 on YG Entertainment/Interscope Records, "Ice Cream" arrives with 18.3 million U.S. streams and 23,000 downloads sold in its first week, ending Sept. 3, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It also drew 5.1 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week ending Sept. 6.
Blackpink, the South Korean quartet comprising members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, rewrites its best Hot 100 debut and rank, outpacing two tracks that began and peaked at No. 33 earlier this year: "Sour Candy," with Lady Gaga, in June and "How You Like That" in July.

Blackpink are known for their killer dance moves, and Selena Gomez is now "perfecting" her own.
The "Rare" singer uploaded a TikTok this week nailing the choreography to the two acts' recent collab "Ice Cream" that's been spreading throughout the platform. She's seen swaying her hips and arms in a "Vote" t-shirt and flowers in her hair.
Gomez also treated fans to a blooper, in which she stops the dance halfway through to admit "I don't know."
"Perfecting my dance moves for @bp_tiktok," she captioned the post. See them below.

Selena Gomez x BLACKPINK - Ice Cream (Behind The Scenes)
Last month, Selena Gomez collaborated with BLACKPINK on K-pop girl band's new song Ice Cream. Although the members couldn't meet, owing to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, they interacted via video calls and shot their parts of the MV in their respective locations. As fans continue to enjoy the track, the singers kicked off the Ice Cream challenge wherein they replicated their dance moves from the music video. Selena, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa recreated their dance steps from the music video for the TikTok challenge.
In the video, Selena sported a white tee with the word "Vote" written on it while she placed a bunch of flowers on her head. Jisoo sported a beige, fill-sleeved shirt with a black undershirt whereas Lisa sported an oversized cream sweater tucked into a pair of formal pants. Jennie sported a pair of checked pants with a chic printed top and a beret to complete her OOTD. Whereas Rose donned a crop top and a single buttoned crop sweater with a pair of pants for the video.
A fan collaborated all the five videos and shared it on Twitter. Check it out below:

With BLACKPINK dominating the Korean and international market recently, they have reached out to a handful of American artists hoping for a soulful collaboration. However, it appears Katy Perry is rather adamant about not becoming part of ‘a trend’.
With past collaborations alongside Lady Gaga in Sour Candy, Dua Lipa in Kiss and Make Up and even Selena Gomez in Ice Cream BLACKPINK has developed quite the fan base in the States already.
While many are quick to jump the bandwagon, Katy admitted to The Standard via Koreaboo, that she chooses her collaborations by giving more focus to the song rather than the artist.
Hence, while she is open to a possible collaboration, she has no intention of becoming “a trend”, rather, her goal is to become part of “a movement.”
During the course of her interview with the leading daily, the Fireworks singer was quoted saying, "To be honest, I feel like some of that can be just people trying to make numbers. And, I’m not here to make numbers."
“I’m here to move hearts,” the singer admitted. “So if BLACKPINK has the dopest song that makes me feel sexy or makes me feel connected, or whatever, I’m totally there."
