WATCH LIVE: House of Representatives convenes after Gaetz files motion to unseat Speaker McCarthy
On the 3rd, the U.S. House of Representatives (435 seats, 2 vacancies) passed a motion to remove Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy by a majority vote. This is the first time in history that a motion to remove the Speaker of the US House of Representatives has been passed. The conflict between Republican Party leaders and hard-line conservatives has resulted in chaos in Congress, and there are concerns that it will affect aid to Ukraine and budget deliberations.
At a press conference after the vote, Mr. McCarthy said, ''I am no longer a candidate,'' making it clear that he would not run in the presidential election expected to be held on the 11th.
On September 30th, Mr. McCarthy cooperated with the Democratic Party in passing a temporary budget to avoid a partial government shutdown, which was strongly opposed by hard-line Republican conservatives. The motion was introduced on the 2nd by hardline conservative Rep. Matt Gaetz.

In the United States Congress, a motion to dismiss the speaker of the opposition party, the Republican Party, was passed with the support of some Republican members, making it the first time in history that a speaker has been dismissed.
On the 3rd, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a motion calling for the removal of House Speaker McCarthy from the opposition Republican Party. This is the first time in history that a chairman has been removed.
In order to avoid a government shutdown, Chairman McCarthy put together a ``bridge budget bill'' that took into consideration the ruling party and the Democratic Party, but his close relative, Republican Rep. Gaetz, a conservative hardliner, said that it did not include significant spending cuts. He objected to this and filed a motion for dismissal. In addition to Democrats, conservative and hard-line Republican lawmakers also voted in favor of the motion, and the motion passed.
