U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka Trump, is in Africa this week, on a visit for the United States Women's Global Development and Prosperity program. President Trump announced it in February. Ivanka made her first stop in Ethiopia, where she toured businesses run by women in the region while promoting the initiative.
The president's daughter, left, said her three kids, pictured right with the president, are proud of the current family business. So much so that they research bills passed by the president, Ivanka says. I think our kids are really proud and I share with them as many of these stories as I can', she says.
Trump, 72, called the criminal justice bill 'an incredible success for our country'. Arabella's dad Jared Kushner, whose father spent time in prison, also championed it behind the scenes. It received the rare support of both Democratic and Republican lawmakers. White House senior adviser Ivanka was speaking Wednesday on the last day of her Africa trip. She regularly shares pictures of her three children at their home on social media.

Powder blue is having a moment, as demonstrated by Melania Trump, Kate Middleton, and most recently, Ivanka Trump, all over the past week. The first daughter stepped out on Tuesday for the 2019 Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, California, with a springtime spin on business casual. Joining advisers from Lockheed Corporation, EY, Visa and Alphabet for an on-stage panel, Trump opted for a powder blue suit by the brand Partow. The $1895 blazer is still in stock. Ivanka's look earlier this week was fresh off the heels of her step-mother's Easter outfit. Melania regularly incorporates the palette in her first lady wardrobe, including her iconic inauguration look back in 2017. And even for the White House's Easter Egg Rolls the past two years, the first lady has opted for the hue, this year looking to a $5000 light blue trench dress from Michael Kors for the occasion.

On Monday morning in London, Melania Trump stepped off of a Marine One helicopter and into the year 1981, and specifically the moment that Joan Collins made her Dynasty debut as (then) Alexis Morell Carrington in a dramatic courtroom scene. On day one of the Trumps' state visit to Britain, dressed in a white pencil dress, black collar, and belt by Dolce & Gabbana, the first lady seemed to be channeling Collins—especially when it came to the matching Hervé Pierre hat pinned over her bun. FLOTUS only needed black-rimmed sunglasses (and veil) to complete her Alexis metamorphosis. Melania’s boater hat sat sharply tilted to the left, shielding her eyes from photographers, even though her usual deadpan never gives much away. The loss of her peripheral vision may explain why Melania gripped her husband’s hand while attending a remembrance ceremony at Westminster Abbey. (The first lady has previously evaded—or even swatted away—her husband’s attempts at public intimacy.) Melania's buttoned-up silhouette is nothing new. When she’s not traipsing through Africa in colonial-era pith hats, FLOTUS gravitates towards Art of the Deal-era power dressing. She rests big coats on top of her shoulders to bulk up her silhouette, and displays remarkable agility when it comes to walking in skin-tight pencil skirts and four-inch Louboutins.

Ivanka Trump has been accused of violating the Hatch Act, which bans government workers from speaking out on political campaign issues, over a tweet she wrote before her father’s 2020 presidential campaign launch. The influential Washington-based watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (Crew) has filed a complaint against Donald Trump’s daughter, a senior presidential aide who works in the White House as an adviser, albeit unsalaried. In a letter to the Office of Special Counsel (OSC), part of the Department of Justice, Crew said her tweet, posted on Father’s Day last weekend, just a few days before Trump’s re-election campaign launch in Florida, included his 2016 campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” and claimed “the best is yet to come”.
