Following the death of Cecil the lion, Prince Harry is doing his bit to protect endangered species, by joining an anti-poaching unit. The sporty royal, who is volunteering in Africa for conservation projects, was secretly flown to South Africa last week where he has been based at a military camp in Kruger Park.



The national park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and home to the Big Five animals, as well as black and white rhinos. Harry, 30, is understood to have joined Operation Corona, an anti-poaching campaign led by the government.



The Queen's grandson has been going on night patrols with an army unit made up of several hundred infantry, 400 armed rangers, policemen and other special forces, who are all fighting the battle against poachers.



Sources said that Harry will be able to use his experience as an Apache helicopter pilot, given that surveillance planes and helicopters are used in the search for poachers. According to a report in Mail Online, more than 300 poachers have so far been killed.

Prince Harry has been romantically linked to actress Jenna Coleman. The 30-year-old royal, who has been voted among the world's most eligible bachelors, is hoping to keep the relationship under wraps. "Jenna has already been topless on television," a source told Life & Style Weekly. "She was also in a sex scene and there are plenty of risqué viral videos of her online."



"Although the British public adores her and she would make a wonderful princess, Harry told his aides not to talk about the relationship with anyone," the insider added. "So [the relationship] could develop in secret." Rumours that Prince Harry and the 29-year-old Doctor Who star are dating started in May after the two were spotted together at the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park in Ascot. Coleman recently broke up with Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark on Game Of Thrones.



Prince Harry, who is fourth in line to the throne, had previously dated Cressida Bonas, the 25-year-old daughter of 1960s model Lady Mary Gaye Curzon and Old Harrovian businessman Jeffrey Bonas, and Chelsy Davy. Princess Diana's son and Davy dated on-and-off for seven years. However the couple called time on their relationship in 2011. Previously, during an interview with Sky News' royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills, Kate Middleton's brother-in-law spoke of his desire to have children.



"There comes times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is but I don't think you can force these things, it will happen when it's going to happen," he said. "Of course I would love to have kids right now but there's a process that one has to go through and tours like this are great fun, hopefully I'm doing all right by myself, it would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure, but you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens," Prince Harry added.
