He has already gotten up close with rhinos and hippos during his "dream job" in Africa, and in his latest conservation work, the 30-year-old royal assisted wildlife veterinarians in the checkup of a massive male lion. The extraordinary encounter took place in a remote corner of a reserve in Namibia, where Harry has been partnering with Save the Rhino Trust and other conservation efforts to promote animal welfare in Africa. In the arresting photo, Harry can be seen with his hands on the sedated lion's flanks as he checks the animal's breathing and vitals in the darkness of the African wild. The encounter came as Harry wraps his three-month summer stint in Africa, where he previously assisted with de-horning endangered black rhinos as part of an anti-poaching strategy. Pohamba Shifeta, Namibia's Minister for Environment and Tourism, told PEOPLE he was grateful to Harry for "airing his voice about conservation in the world. In southern Africa, we have the largest population of wildlife today, especially the high value species. His contribution is highly appreciated." Since wrapping his decade-long service in the Army in June, Harry has focused on championing the two issues closest to his heart: conservationism and veterans' causes. Travel pioneer and Safari author Geoffrey Kent, who took Harry on a formative trip to Africa just weeks after the death of Princess Diana, recently told PEOPLE of his admiration for the young royal: "He has developed a lifelong passion for Africa, and that passion has developed into leadership."

Kate Middleton and Prince William are staunchly against Prince Harry dating Jenna Coleman, afraid the actress will bring more scandal down upon on the royals. Prince Harry is still dating actress Jenna Coleman, and their relationship is reportedly growing serious – despite the Royal Family’s protest. Harry’s brother Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton generally defend him when it comes to his family’s high expectations – but even they are making it very clear that they don’t approve of Prince Harry and Jenna’s relationship. Prince Harry never plays by the rules, but this time Will and Kate are not defending him and have let it be known that they don’t think Jenna Coleman is the one for him. An inside source dished in this week’s edition of Star Magazine, “William and Kate want Harry to find the right girl to settle down with, but Jenna’s past is too scandalous. She has posed topless, filmed sex scenes, and clearly has no intention of turning down risqué roles to please the royal family.” Apparently, Prince Harry is standing by his girl – and he could care less if his family approves of her or not, he is determined to stay with her. Prince Harry and Jenna Coleman met a charity event in May 2015, and even though Harry spent the majority of the summer out of the country, the couple reportedly stayed in constant contact. Now, that the summer is winding down and they will both be back in London – it will definitely be interesting to see if they go out together in public and whether or not they make things official, even without the Royal Family’s approval. One thing is for sure, as long as Queen Elizabeth is still alive and well – there is no way she is going to let her grandson marry an actress who has sex scenes all over the Internet.

It was reported yesterday that Harry met Chelsy and her family in South Africa recently and that the couple “openly discussed” whether, four years after they split, they could give their relationship another go. “There is still very much something between them. Harry has never fallen out of love with Chelsy,” said a friend who is supposedly privy to the situation between the Prince and his former girlfriend. The fi rst time round the relationship lasted for seven often tempestuous years. Harry and Chelsy met in 2004 while the Prince was in Cape Town during his gap year. Chelsy, who was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, had been a boarder at Stowe, the public school which numbers actor David Niven, Tatler editor Kate Reardon and Sir Richard Branson among its alumni. Branson’s children are friends of the royal princes. Chelsy was not best pleased when he celebrated his passing out of offi cer training at Sandhurst with a trip to a lap-dancing club. He was also pictured kissing barmaids in Canada and then Chelsy discovered he had been receiving texts from another girl which were far from innocent in nature. Chelsy’s response was to send him a message herself. It said: “You’re dumped.” It was Chelsy too who initiated the fi nal break-up in 2011. Her timing – just after the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton – was interesting. This time it was not about Harry’s various real or imagined fl irtations. It wasn’t even about his all-consuming army career which had already taken him to Afghanistan and to which at the time he was deeply committed.

Sports-mad Prince Harry is back home from his three-month conservation tour of Africa and has a new passion on his mind: rugby. Praising the increasing number of girls and boys playing the game (a campaign he has backed) in a new video, Harry hopes the Rugby World Cup – which kicks off September 18 in London – will motivate even more young people to take up the quintessentially English sport. Like the London 2012 Olympics, which he, Prince William and Princess Kate also enthusiastically supported, Harry is hoping the tournament will provide a lasting inspiration. "It's no secret that I love top-flight rugby, but I'm also a passionate supporter of how powerful the grassroots game is in helping to improve people's lives – the values it teaches, the enjoyment it brings and the unity it creates," he says in the video (which was filmed before he left for Africa in June). "With the Rugby World Cup just around the corner, this really is a once in a generation opportunity to deliver the greatest legacy for the game." The World Cup begins with an opening ceremony at Twickenham stadium in west London, where Harry will make a speech. Both William and Kate will be in attendance.

After three months in Africa doing conservation work, Prince Harry is back in England to celebrate his 31th birthday, and back at his royal duties – starting today by participating in one of the biggest demonstrations of Battle of Britain aircrafts since World War II to mark the 75th anniversary of that legendary aerial conflict. The prince – fifth in line to the throne, one of the most popular royals and one of the most eligible bachelors in the world – was sporting a new look marked by a scruffy beard as he joined veterans watching a fleet of 40 Hurricanes, Spitfires and Blenheims take to the air. Although, like his older brother, Prince William, and his new nephew, Prince George, and newer niece, Princess Charlotte, he’s been hounded, photographed and documented in the media literally since the day he was born, the British public has maintained its 31-year addiction to his comings and goings, as well as an affectionate regard toward many of his not-always-so-royal activities and mischievous escapades.
